belledandy87 Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 It's been about 2 months and a few weeks since my ex broke up with me. It was really hard in the beginning, like most relationships ... so I was hurting, self esteem beaten down, lost everything including my home for the past two years. All the while, I believe in my heart wholeheartedly that he was doing fine. In fact, he just said in a calm matter of fact way HE did not want to contact me for 6 months to a year. I am not the type to stalk, but from the few times online, I saw he was doing fine, and in fact last month was looking for a new relationship on OKCupid. It was so bad, I pretty much left the social networks except for 2. I'll get to the point, I was doing fine last week. I was picking myself up, and really looking forward to the new future. It was then HE messaged me on one of the few networks I still go on, asking me how I was doing. I thought ... didn't he want nothing to do with me for about a year or more?? He then texted me saying, he couldn't stand it and wanted to talk to me, and see how I was doing. In short we texted over the past few days, and now he won't even text or really acknowledge me on the net. I dunno how to really take this o_O I am confused, and wondering what he is up to. Is he just wanting me to hang on or something?
ThatJustHappened Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Yup..you hit the nail on the head. He just wants to make sure you're still thinking about him. Next time..I would just tell him that you'd prefer to wait out the rest of the 6 months to a year before talking again and leave it at that.
