I never tried online dating but looking at it i can see why a lot of Men dont like it

I always heard the average whiny guys on here complian about online dating and how its skewed towars women..

 

They always complain that its a bunch of unattractive or average women looking for high status and/or hot guys i figured it was just your typical bitter guys who looked at a profile or two that fit the description and in their typical self loathing style acted as if the whole site was like that..

 

I went on pof and a few other sites and i have to admit these guys werent that far off:laugh:

 

I see a lot of women who apparently dont own mirrors because the demands they have for a man physically and what they look like doesnt quite add up:laugh:

 

One last comment im afraid to say this because these guys in here are notorious but i have to admit i can see why online dating for short guys make them depressed as hell..

 

Maybe 5% of women on these few sites were willing to date a guy under 5'10..

 

The women who demanded a guy 5'10 and up even 6 feet and up some of them were in their 50's and 60's obese single with 8 kids and yet wouldnt budge from these demands...

 

It wouldnt shock me if theyres a one legged women with a burnt face demanding somebody over 6 feet on these sites:laugh:

I have to disagree. I had a lot of success with OLD. it was me who turned them down all the time. im very picky.

 

was on OLD for a year and besides the first 3 dates I went on and didnt succeed, every other woman wanted to continue dating.

 

the reason why I didnt want to was 2 reasons. 1-they play too many stupid mind/dating games and I have zero tolerance for that. and 2, woman dont know what the fuxk they want. they say they do but they I see its otherwise.

 

but you are right, MANY woman wrote they were looking for a man who was tall. I noted it was the number most requested thing by the woman.

but there were woman who didnt notice my height at all and asked me when we were talking on the phone. im 6' 1"

Can you give some examples of the games they play? I remember two girls I was chatting with: 1. contacted me and we had a good flow going. Then she removed her profile. 2. I was emailing back and forth with a girl for a week and she fell off the face of the earth.

 

Both women seemed to be interested. The conversations were encouraging. I can only assume they chose someone else?

Sorry to hear that everyone is ugly where you live. That must suck.

 

I'm dating a beautiful woman at the moment, and I met her on a dating site. She's above average height herself, but she tells me that I'm too tall.

 

So, while I'll agree with you that dating sites might not favour average whiny guys, I can assure you that they aren't entirely populated by fugly women with height fetishes, and that average non-whiny guys (well, okay, I'm also tall) can get dates.

On the flipside many of the men on those websites are not exactly top class desirable either. Plenty of old/fat guys expecting 20-something semi-models (even if they don't state it in their profiles - that's who they contact), and many of the attractive men on there are just looking for easy sex or to cheat on their partners.

 

Online dating is entirely superficial anyway, initially at least. There's thousands of profiles and people are naturally going to go for the profiles with the more attractive pictures and interesting profiles. People will overlook people that they'd have no problems dating in the real world, there are also more men than women, so of course women are going to feel more inclined to be picky and believe it or not they're sometimes successful too, and so are some men...

Back on topic, I've also seen guys with preferences like that. Like only thin and athletic body types, no "normals" or larger. Or girls under 5'3''. Most of these guys weren't really attractive to me, but that doesn't mean that they aren't allowed to have their preferences.

One of the biggest problems with OLD is that there are plenty of people who are totally content to just have a pen pal. You know, they want someone for some harmless sexy chat. Or really just any kind of chat, without any intention of meeting in real life.

 

Anyone old enough to remember those late nite "party lines" that used to be advertised. "Hundreds of hot sexy singles in your area just WAiting for your call. 2.95 for the first minute 0.45 for each additional minute". Like that but cheaper.

 

They just aren't interested in actually dating someone.

Balls. I've made fake profiles of girls and 90% of the messages you get are sent by guys within 6-8 years of the girl's age. Anyone older than that messaging her have a why the **** not attitude about the whole thing.

 

I don't use it myself so I wouldn't know, but friends (female) I know who have given it a try have all told me that many of the messages they get are from much older, unattractive or simply incompatible men. I've heard the same from men who troll on there, although this was a while ago, maybe things have changed. Point is - while you attack the females for being old or ugly, the male side is hardly full of washboard ab models is it?

 

It only takes 20 seconds to write a unique message and the majority of messages are spam/not unique.

Yes, once again when confronted with women's shallowness you claim well "men do it too". I firmly believe that men care about personality more than women do.

You cannot make a profile of a woman and not get messages. Trust me. If a girl is ugly, she will get messages purely out of pity/guys feeling sorry for her.

 

Geez man, the ugly girls must feel so much better that they have men sending copy pasta to them out of pity/desperation, that's like.. the mark of a genuinely interested and caring man.

God.. just to think, all those women that waste all that time and money on their appearance through make-up and their hair and diet and everything else are wasting their time when they could just merge their face with a pig and get all the male attention they'll ever need by signing up to POF?!

 

You should try getting your "experiment" published, you could make a lot of money or something. :rolleyes:

 

Anyway, if men don't like online dating you know what...? They are completely free to trash their profiles and don't use it. Complaining about the system isn't going to suddenly make tons of desirable women sign up in their droves, is it?

I can't say I blame women who use OLD for getting tired of it altogether. If I was a woman, I'd get tired pretty quickly of a hundred guys a day sending me e-mails that all say the same thing---"hey bebbeh... I'm #1 stud and I want to screw you 'til you pass out!"

They don't just ignore those men. They also ignore those who craft witty, custom tailored openers. If they don't like your pics, they don't respond. Both genders do this.

Height thread.

 

Im 5'8 and i never had a problem with women in real life. (and I just turned 5'8).

 

But online I might as well have micropenis or something because women base their criteria on height.
