I want to become more "high maintenance" if you will

For some reason, when I try to put heels on, it looks weird, awkward. I might be starting a new job and its in a very high class business office.

I WANT TO WEAR HEELS SO BAD!!! I'm already 5´7¨ so i might look too tall in heels. I could get little heels but i want to wear stilletos. HIGH heels. But i don't think i can pull it off. Even the little heels look weird b/c i cant see myself wearing them.

I like the high class business woman look. But i can only do platforms and that doesn't say executive.

I want to wear cute little heel slip on sandals with skirts, but people see me as a sneaker jean t shirt kind of girl.

How do i make the transition?

ok - first of all, you have to realize that when you say that others view you as a t-shirt and sneakers kind of girl, you really mean that YOU view yourself as that kind of person. Find that other woman in yourself that is dying to shed the casual clothes.

Start small. Wear stillettos with your jeans - totally sexy! Tall is beautiful, don't be ashamed of it.

When you are used to wearing (and walking in) stillettos, move on to pairing those darling shoes with skirts, suits, etc. You'll be surprised how different you feel in amazing clothes.

If you do get a job in an office where suits are the uniform, you'll feel odd if you AREN'T dressed that way. I spent so many years in suits, I feel kind of naked without a jacket and I still can't bring myself to wear sandals in the office even though it seems everyone does now. I tend to dress a little better than I have to (partly because I work at home 3/4 of the time) and I feel people treat me with a little more deference and respect.

All it takes is a little money and a little attitude. You go girl! And I don't think you can be too tall when you are in the office - look 'em right in the eye!

You don't have to wear *high* heels. I'm just short of 5' 8" and if I wear heels, I wear 1" or less pumps. They look very classy, are totally fit for the office, and the bonus is that you do much less damage to your back if you don't wear really high heels.

My advice is somewhat along the lines of Moi's.

Pumps are definitely perfect for any office. Especially if you're not used to walking around in stilettos, however much you may like the look.

Start with lower heeled pumps and work your way up in heel height. Your back will thank you for it.
