Dntel Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 K this post is about a girl I recently met this past Saturday. Long story short my roommate had classmates over for drinks. I met her and we hit off so I asked her out to lunch and she said yeah. I called her the fallowing Monday and asked if she wanted to grab lunch the next day (Tuesday) she said yes but she had a school counseling appointment at 2 and I had work at 4. She got out later then expected and asked to reschedule. All was good, but then my roommate told me he felt guilty cause he asked the group out for lunch on the same day and she tagged along. He told me that while hanging out she got a text from me and told him she forgot about our lunch plans. He also told me that he had no idea and he felt really bad but he put a good word in for me. He also told me that she's also talking to another guy but she's genuinely interested in me. What should I do? P.S. She's 18, I'm 25; She's only here for a year and she's heading back home... Should I even invest my time?
Author Dntel Posted October 11, 2012 Author Posted October 11, 2012 No. (Ten Characters) Please explain why I shouldn't invest my time.
carhill Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Only invest your time if her 'ask to reschedule' included a specific time and place. Why? Because she made the change and, sufficiently interested, would be enthusiastic about a reschedule and would take the initiative to put it together. A lukewarm woman is a dry hole. No Texas tea there. Good luck.

Well my roommate just text me saying that she's coming over tonight for some drinks. I will be home in a few hours, what should I do?
carhill Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Seems like she ends up where your roommate is....
Author Dntel Posted October 13, 2012 Author Posted October 13, 2012 Seems like she ends up where your roommate is.... Agreed, She ended up coming over and I told my roommate i'd be home by 10. Well what do you know. I walk in to her leaving. While texting her, I asked for a photo for my contacts and she said she had no recent photos but that she would take one for me. While talking with my roommate I told him I forgot what she looks like and sure enough he pulls out his phone and what do you know... she sent him a photo. :/
irc333 Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 I don't even like associating with people when they say they WANT to get together, but follow-up how "Busy" they are. Esp, if they say they want to get together NEXT week, then say, "Fair warning, I'm pretty busy next week, so I can't be sure" "Yeah, well, I'M busy too. I sometimes think people are putting ona "show" think it's "cool to be busy". When they're just sitting around twiddling their thumbs.

I decided to just forget that she could be a girl I can date. Turns out she's got quite a few guys that have her on a pedastole. I vowed not to be that guy.
