M&M'S "One Track Mind" Commercial featuring Ms. Brown - YouTube

Im sure everyones seen this commercial by now. Its hilarious and totally reminded me of how people behave in the dating world.

I know Im guilty of letting a girl or two get away with being an airhead, or being vapid, all because I was majorly attracted to her.

Yeah sometimes exceptions have to be made. My brain and my penis are in an ongoing struggle for my moral compass.

It used to be all penis, but my brain has been making strides the last few years. I'd say brain wins about 70% of the battles now; so progress!

I love airheads, they're so adorable

They are. My only problem is they don't detect sarcasm very well and that's one of my many awesome qualities. They also don't banter back and forth very well and I like flirtatious banter. They also don't get most of the references I make to things I assumed most people knew. Oh well. I block all that stuff out and let penis do his job.

That's the thing. This is how you build longer lasting sexual attraction. When a guy is dumb, no matter how good looking I get bored in about 10 minutes.

Hadn't seen that commercial, but the rest of your post reminds me of this song:

Fit but you know it - The Streets

(lyrics not safe for work)

When was the last time a guy made you feel dumb?

how dumb are we talking about..?

What if you had amazing chemistry and they were super hot, and they were kind and even a little funny?

Are we talking about girls who have nothing to say besides comment o their appearance and talk about celeb gossip? Literally, nothing else to say?

on a more serious note.... my boyfriends best mate, a very attractive charismatic man who attracts all the hotties and started dating a model. Who also happens to be very sweet and can support herself financially.

............... But after almost a year of knowing each other and dating (met on a cruise ship last November...) he has not said I love you yet.

And without her consent, got around with other women before deciding to commit to her. Fruthermore, at one stage they barly saw each other despite living together. Only talked once or twice a week really.

So, they clicked really well at first, she is super hot and his ideal physical type, but...................He is settling for a lack lustre connection because she is super hot, right?

I hope I never have to choose between a woman and M&Ms. . . .

He has sex. Do you think he minds? No.

I have been with guys who are soo hot but just not too bright. Not stupid perse but...yeah I need the witty banter, I need someone who is intelligent. Those were always situations where I knew it would never develop into anything longterm.

I think it's mean to call some women "airheads". I understand that not everyone is the same level of intelligence but to condesend about their intelligence while you date them says something pretty bad about you, not them.

It reminds me of that movie The Help. The one woman in it was rejected by the Queen Bee because she thought she took her boyfriend away from her while they were still dating. The woman is now married to the Queen Bee's ex and she is very sweet and bubbly. The other women look down on her because of the Queen Bee. But she is actually smart in other ways from them and is actually kind to her African American maid. I will take kindness and sweetness in a female friend over high end intelligence.

OH and what was that thread about how women are harsher on other women. Yet another thread where men are calling women names. No offense Kaylan but calling certain women "airheads" isn't any better then calling them other names.

When a guy is dumb

I guess it's alright for women to call men names though.

No, I don't think it's right either way. I didn't read Emilia's post.

How about you MrCastle, do you think it's right either way?

I don't have a problem calling people what I think they are. If I think a guy is a acting like a douchebag I'll say he's acting one. When a girl is acting like a bitch I'll say she's acting like one, and both sexes have airheads.

Ah, so you just wanted to make sure was being "fair". You weren't sincerely upset over calling other people names.

And yet, not one woman here started a thread about calling men airheads.... neither did a woman start a thread about calling other women airheads..and yet, women are the harsher gender ...riiiiiggght.

I don't see what calling someone an airhead has to do with being harshly judged on your body but whatever.

I think that women are more likely to be called an "airhead" or "dumb" than men are. I don't think it's fair to say that only men do it though, because they don't. I hear plenty of women calling other women those names, at work and at school. I also seldom hear women calling men "dumb". Pretty women or women that are fashionable are called out really quickly if they do something flaky or say something stupid. I don't know why that is. Men normally get the benefit of the doubt in the same scenario. It's not right, but it's also not fair to blame only men.

Are other harsh judgments less critical when they aren't about your body??

A) I am kind of klutzy so a helmet might not be a bad idea.

B) I got a pretty hard head so might not need that helmet after all.

I would agree that men aren't the only ones that do it xdahilax. Although my experiences are different from yours and I see this much more among men than women. I also was pointing out how a guy started this discussion calling women airheads, not a woman.

The thread was started by a heterosexual man. So of course a man is referring to certain women as airheads. It doesn't say anywhere that the thread is only about women, though.
