missgangrene Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 I think this is the first thread I've ever started on LS. I'm in graduate school. My program is pretty small; there's a small number of students and professors. This semester, we have a "visiting" professor (he works for the school but doesn't normally teach classes in my program). Here's the situation: we're very flirty with each other, he talks to me outside of class about things that have nothing to do with school, he's said numerous times he doesn't really consider himself my professor... I don't think he's been skeevy and trying to set it up so that I sleep with him or something for an A in the class (LOL), but I am aware it would definitely be inappropriate to hang out during this semester while I'm taking his class. My question is, would it be inappropriate after the semester has ended (and grades have been submitted)? Oh, and in case it matters: we're both in our 30's (I'm early 30's; he's late 30's). I already have a gut feeling about this, but I'd like feedback to see what others think.
Pyro Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 I could be wrong but as long as you are a student there then he isn't allowed to date you. That rule could vary per school.
