JH12 Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 We been together for 5 years 2 months 17 days. We recently went on a trip to Las Vegas recently. The 3rd day we got back home she went out with her female friend after work for drinks. She got home(after having a couple drinks) and I knew something seemed off. I asked her and then she told me she fell out of love with me. We sobbed a bit had sex and that was it, next day she started sleeping by her mom. She says she wanted to be friends and I kinda agreed. The history: We got together as she graduated out of high school. She is now 23 and I'm 26. The dilemma: She told me it wasn't the same as it was before. I must admit it wasn't but as a guy it was hard to see the changes until I sat the next day of the break up and thought about what happened. She was right it seems she got kind of bored with me in a sense. She is young and doesn't go out much. Fast forward to October 3rd(a week after the breakup). She wanted to do something for my birthday(October 5th). We got dinner and finally talked about everything. She picked at my mashed potatoes(her plate was full of her own mashed potatoes) and starred at me with the "I want you eyes". We left and went to a bar next door and she just kept touching me. I dropped her home and that was that. Next evening I went to a club with my best friend(also a friend of hers) and she showed up with her friend. She proceeded to go out of her way to buy both of us shots and dances with me. We left the club and we all went home. Next day she texted me "I hope you had a good time" I responded with "yeah". The No Contact rule, can that help or hurt me? Obv I want to get back with her we talked about marriage, ring, kids, kids names the works. Our family knows each other....a lot and I have nothing negative to say about her. Any hopes of getting back together?
Chi townD Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Dude, I think she got the case of the GIGS. SHe probably thought she was too young to get serious. Still had some living to do before she gets tied down. She young and in her twenties and wants to experience new things and not act like she's already married. But, here's the rub.. She probably thinks that she can have you waiting on the sidelines while she does her thing. Somehow, giving you this false hope that you're going to get back together soon. But, the thing is, you're filling an emotional gap for the time being. As soon as she finds someone else, she's gonna kick you to the curb and that will be that...oh, she'll still want to be friends, but you can't be together RIGHT NOW. She'll want to keep you as a back up plan. Sorry to be blunt. But, right now, she values her independence and her single status more than you. Sorry to be blunt. But, sometimes, you have to look outside the box to see what's really going on.
Author JH12 Posted October 10, 2012 Author Posted October 10, 2012 I appreciate the blunt answer and yes she told me about the he's still young etc. you are on point def. thanks man it's just hard!
Chi townD Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Yeah, its hard. But, what's going to be really hard for you is letting go. You deserve to be treated better. You deserve a girl that wants to be with you because, at that moment, there's no other place in the world she rather be. She's out there and she's waiting for you to find her. If your Ex can't see it, then she's not it.
Author JH12 Posted October 10, 2012 Author Posted October 10, 2012 Dude if you were next to me I'd kiss you lol. Seriously though I dont even know you but your words are a great thing to read. I appreciate it and appreciate the time you took out to respond to me both time. It's hard as hell to read but will be even harder to do! Thanks a million again and I'll be back maybe in couple months to let you know how everything is going. Thanks again
