Sw3etdev1L Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 My family is weird. Definitely. I would describe myself as very very warm, very open, compassionate, simple.. I really wanted my family to be so united. But, my cousins have moved to other country. I am jewish, in every shabbath they are not here.. Whenever they are here I feel a very big void in between. My cousins are getting married and I don't even know who their wifes are, and as they have alienated themselves a little bit from the family and not seem to care much, the wives have taken an attitude of caring less either so.. everytime I have to see the wives and talk to them and be friendly with them, I just don't feel it. I don't feel like getting near them and make them feel involved with the family because I don't feel they care. I invited one wife to my bachelorette party, she confirmed and at the very moment of the party she didn't come, didn't even say she wasn't coming. Four days later I saw her and she didn't even say hello, I am sorry I didn't go or whatever, she didn't even say hi. It mades me sad to know the wives don't strive for their husbands to be involved with the family. I think in part there is an immaturity thing and an emotional weakness from part of my cousins who don't seem to notice what they are doing.. The thing is, for me family is so important. Not only my husband and children, but.. the whole family. For other people, things are not like that.. It's a shame
