cinnamonstix49 Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 Well honey, I'm going to go to bed. I'm sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepy and my plan is to wake up at 10 and have breakfast... good night!... ehh good morning?
cinnamonstix49 Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 Well... waking up at 10 didn't turn out soo good... We have absolutely NO food in the house, so I had a mustard sandwich... :| and a cup of tea. What a waste of my calories and life. I hate this breakfast rule! My brother HAS to be the MOST ANNOYING THING IN THE WORLD! I woke up to him ramming a remote controlled big rig into my bed posts and then I went in the kitchen to get breakfast and he had pasta noodles all over the kitchen! Ahh! It's a rainy looking day, but I don't think it's supposed to rain, so hopefully I can do my 30 minutes of walking outside instead of around my house, cos that would be kinda sad. How is everyone else?
dreaming4ever Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 I'm dieting and exercising too. I'm eating only 1000 calories a day and exercising for at least half an hour every day in August...then I'll see where I am. Hope it works...I'm 5'3 and 154lbs in case anyone's wondering. Dieting sucks!!!

Dieting sucks!!! There is no way you can maintain a lifestyle where you are only eating 1000 calories a day. If you don't adapt a lifestyle that you can stick to for the long run, you're going to end up gaining all that weight back.
dreaming4ever Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 What do you mean InmannRoshi?? 1000 calories is not enough?? But I'm on weight watchers and that's how much is SAYS to eat and so that's how much I eat! I'm not the original thread starter....think you're confused....but ya...
honey2005 Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 Dieting does suck. But I'm trying to eat healthy and exercise and see where I'm at at the end of the month:p Kind of like what you're. I'm not doing weight watchers or anything, though.

Seriously, Weight Watchers' guideline is 1000 cals/day? That's pretty extreme. Its been shown in lab mammals that a extremely restrictive calorie diet can increase maximum lifespan, and humans could live to be around 120 years if they can restrict your calorie consumption to around 1200 cals/day, but not many people are able to pull it off because its so difficult. You have to milk those 1200 cals with every vitamin and mineral they are worth just to to get your body the nourishment you need.
cinnamonstix49 Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 Mom is making me take vitamins... not the Flinstone ones either... the REAL ones!
Author Elvis4ever Posted August 6, 2004 Author Posted August 6, 2004 Wondering if that lemon poppy-seed muffin or other food item is fit or fat? Sometimes it can be hard to tell, especially with baked goods. To find out, put it to my paper towel test! It's easy and you can use it anywhere and anytime! Simply take the food and set it on a paper towel. If it leaves a greasy mark behind, you can bet it's high in fat—and calories, too! This simple tool can really help you make good choices on the go. While I'm not saying you can't eat something if you really want it, just remember to keep it in moderation, count the calories into your overall daily intake, and consider adding an extra walk to your schedule to help burn off the added energy.
Author Elvis4ever Posted August 6, 2004 Author Posted August 6, 2004 Take advantage of sunny skies to move your workout from the gym to the great outdoors! Trade the treadmill for a hike; skip spinning class and take your own two wheels out on the road; head down the river in a raft; or strap on the roller blades for a skate in the park! The options are nearly endless! While you're having fun in the sun, you'll be burning calories, too! cinnamonstix49 Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 I'm going canoeing and camping... I wonder how many calories that burns...
honey2005 Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 I'm hungry and I want to go biking:(. But it's dark.
cinnamonstix49 Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 I don't even have a bike! I resent you for that! ... how many calories does canoeing for a whole day burn?
honey2005 Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 Canoeing at 2 mph for 1 hour burns 286 calories. Canoeing at 4 mph for 1 hour burns 588 calories. I can't go canoeing here:(
cinnamonstix49 Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 You could canoe in the lake when we build the magic boat out of all my pool rafts...
honey2005 Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 Or we could go swimming in that scary lake when you get back from camping:D:D;) and then we can go biking.
cinnamonstix49 Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 I DONT HAVE A BIKE stop rubbing it in my face! I HATE YOU! we need to buy those swim shoe things from Wal*mart before we go back in the lake cos I'm afraid of leeches... I need to buy ductape and a plastic wetsuit also...
honey2005 Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 I have like 5 bikes, use one of mine:(. I don't want to wear swim shoes:( or a wetsuit:( or duct tape. We could just go to the public pool .
cinnamonstix49 Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 Oh so now you have 5 bikes and I don't have any!? SHOW OFF! Okay we can share bikes You know... we probably have 75% less of a chance of contracting a fatal disease if we swim in the public pool...
honey2005 Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 I wish we had thought of this 2 swimming times ago . I have a Wendy's grilled chicken sandwich without mayo waiting for me in the fridge for tomorrow .
cinnamonstix49 Posted August 6, 2004 Posted August 6, 2004 You know what!? One more little outburst like this with the chicken sandwich and the bikes and... WE'RE NOT GOING TO BE FRIENDS ANYMORE! I hope it's soggy.
