Lonely Ronin Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 The other night I was out with friends, and I ran into a woman that knocked me on my as* figuratively speaking. I was playing darts with friends and her and some friends started playing on the board next to ours. As soon as I noticed her I was distracted the rest of the night. I talked with her briefly, but nothing came of it. She looked a lot like this woman. lost: evangeline lilly 1 picture on VisualizeUs Maybe this will spark a slightly more philosophical debate on attraction (we could use some of that around here). I know I have a thing for pretty eyes and a smile, but I can't really explain why. The woman in the picture above for example isn't really smiling, but still her eyes and facial expression are something I'm incredibly drawn to. Anyone else like me? Is there a certain look, or presence that just floors you? Ladies, gents what say you?
ThaWholigan Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Yes, there is something about a woman's eyes that I am drawn to. It's weird because I didn't do eye contact for years until I met a girl whose eyes I couldn't help looking into. Presence and aura is certainly a factor in a woman - the same as a man. When you start to notice a certain energy about a woman, especially when it's written in her face, her entire physical expression - it's highly intriguing and, for me, arousing . Deep, brown eyes always get me. 2
iris219 Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I notice hands and mannerisms. I love long, thin fingers and when a guy is expressive with his hands. I notice how a man sits and stands as well. I notice how he crosses his legs or tilts his head or purses his lips before he's about to say something. If I'm not intrigued by a man's hands and mannerisms, I know I'm not really feeling it. I pay more attention to hands than eyes.
Feelin Frisky Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Totally. One glimpse of some lovely eyes and your life can change for ever--be it a tiny bit or completely. Sometimes it's not just the color or how the pupils contrast with the iris, it's the shape and balance with the rest of the face. 1
xdahliax Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Well, eyes are the window to the soul. Sometimes, when you look into someone's eyes and they look back into yours, you feel like you actually know them more than anyone else in the world. In reality, you could know very little about the person but you sort of get what the essence of him/her is. I love that. 2
jobaba Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Hard to really put a finger on it as I'm attracted to all types of women, but in general, cute over hot. Think a young Marissa Tomei or Phoebe Cates. Or Im Soo-Jung is really cute... Google Image Result for http://images5.fanpop.com/image/photos/30900000/Lim-Soo-Jung-korean-actors-and-actresses-30951687-480-360.jpg But cute is just as prized of a commodity as hot is as far as men are concerned. So that doesn't make it easier contrary to the consensus. When I was younger and I saw a really cute gal that fit my type, I used to go all gaga, but these days, not really. If I see a really cute girl, it will register with me, but I will consciously try and lessen the 'pull towards her'. I don't like it when looks is the primary draw...

If I see a really cute girl, I will stare some, and subconsciously she will occupy my mind, but consciously and rationally, I don't think much of it. I don't like it when looks is the primary draw...
Author Lonely Ronin Posted October 7, 2012 Author Posted October 7, 2012 I was thinking about this today at the gym more, And maybe it has something to do with the allusion of power & strength. To me the woman of above has it, that look of supreme confidence in herself. That's something I look for, because a lot of women I have dated will eventually succumbed to my will. By that I mean they would just start agreeing with me on stuff even if they don't actually agree. I'd rather be with a woman who is going to fight with me and be demanding from time to one that's always going to just give in. 1

I want a girl who will stand her ground - especially if I'm wrong.
threebyfate Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 The power of eyes Watch out for laser babies!!
El Brujo Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Deep, brown eyes always get me. Me too. Especially brown-eyed blondes. But it annoys the crap out of me when someone STARES at me like I just stepped out of a flying saucer, no matter what their eyes look like.
threebyfate Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 ahhhhhhhh!Penetrating eyes can be painful but illuminating, particularly when it comes to the attraction arena. Powerful babes with a lot of hidden depth, can flatten you at a glance! 1
monkey00 Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I love expressive eyes, there's a certain kind of depth to it that I find appealing. Unfortunately I've met very few women/people who are capable of it.

threebyfate Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 I've been flattened a few times . I've been told I've flattened a couple of girls before to my surprise. In all seriousness, I truly believe that eyes are like windows into the essence of the person. The flat, lizard stare can be frightening, where warm attraction being communicated, can be intriguing. 3
El Brujo Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 The flat, lizard stare can be frightening LOL!!!!! What about the dumb Yogi bear stare? I get that one all the time.
threebyfate Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 LOL!!!!! What about the dumb Yogi bear stare? I get that one all the time.Boo-boo bear, is that you?
ScreamingTrees Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Well, apparently I have quite nice eyes, but they work like crap and you can't see them well behind the coke-bottle lens.
HeldbyGravity Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 (edited) Ah the windows to the soul! I never used to be able to look anyone in the eyes due to social anxiety, so now I pay special heed to what the eyes Say. When I was with my ex, I was uncomfortable when he stared me right in the eyes. However, the guy I am dating now makes a noticable effort to lock eyes with me. When he first gave me "the look", I found that I did Not want to look away. So we'll be hanging out, standing somewhere or sitting down, and suddenly his face isn't turning and neither is mine, and one of us will say something quietly or just stay silent, both blushing the whole while and communicating this warmth with our eyes, this attraction and depth... Very intense! Edited October 9, 2012 by HeldbyGravity 1
