TaraMaiden Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 Well somebody should...... I await the result. I'm almost as nervous as The_Face! (except of course, I'm not....I just hope that the outcome doesn't create more drama..... poor child!)
Balzac Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 If past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior...... Drama is a certainty. Face has no obligation to participate however. The reality in this situation, most others as well, other men will enter the dynamic. If Face is this child's father, he alone cannot dictate her future decisions. He can assert his legal rights as father, he can be generous beyond minimum financial obligations but that's about it. He could challenge her for physical custody of course. What he cannot do is a continuation of being an emotional tampon for her logical consequences of bad decision making. That's a hard lesson to learn in boundary setting. Particularly hard with a shared child. 1
