I'm not doing my work, skipping class, im sleeping all day, i have a drink whenever i can. I'm struggling to do basic things. What do i do?

I hear ya have absolutely no words of wisdom just sympathy. I feel so horrible I have no idea how to cope.

i'm worried i'm going to have to drop out of school. This is really messing me up.

I need advice myself i don't feel we'll enough to offer any advice as I'm so weak and feel so immobile due to the sadness and I'm a mother and have to work.

 

You NEED to go to school, I know it's sooooo hard. All I want to do is sleep,and at night I can't sleep, so when the kids go to school I want to go back to bed. You can't.it makes it worse. Much worse. My pain is deep, my whole life was this man. I'm in Shock he isn't contacting me, but I feel if he truly loves me,me will realize it, and if it isn't strong enough, he will stay away.....

U gotta realllllly force yourself.

 

You need all the distractions you can get.

 

Fake it till you make it.

 

Its ok to wallow in it.. but set a time frame, on X day no mattter what.. you get outta bed and you start to do xyz

Been there, done that. In fact, did that on Monday. Skipped class. It's terrible. Give yourself a break, though. Sometimes missing class once or twice can give your head the break that you need. I know that I wouldn't have been able to concentrate at all even if I had been physically present in class, so I decided to skip. As long as it's not hurting your grades in the process (not skipping quizzes, etc.) and you can catch up, I would say, don't worry about skipping a class once or twice.

I'm starting to think it's break up season....

 

There's 2 guys in my class who just got broken up with. Both are relatively decent guys but apparently, their girlfriends just "needed more" (whatever that means...)

 

Sometimes people don't want to lose your focus on them so when you do other stuff (like get a new job or try hard in school) they don't like it because they are no longer the master of your universe. That is PRECISELY why you should do it. There is a saying in my language that basically says if you give yourself no other way but forward, your mind and body will do what it takes to get you there. There are scientific (if psychology/sociology counts as a science for you) evidence that backs this up. They say that your mind can adapt and be happy in 3 months but you have to COMPLETELY let go. This is why so many people drill NC with an extra side of NC followed by NC dessert each day, every day. It's the fastest way to regain your sanity.

 

I'm willing to bet that right now, you are only a shadow of your former self (before you met them). What makes this person so special that it's worth you wasting your life away? Does this person even care that you do this? You need to pull yourself together. I don't know who is funding your schooling but if it's your parents then you owe it to them to make more of an effort. If you get a grant from the government, then you owe it to ME to put more of an effort (cause we all pay taxes, no?) You can get through school and do awesome and great things while one day look back and say "I can't believe I almost let that stop me from doing this wonderful accomplishment..." NO ONE can make you feel less than you are. The fact that they don't love you does not make you a bad person or someone unworthy. You are still the same person. A person that was so awesome that they fell in love with you once, right? Remember that. There's no need to destroy yourself for their sake. They've done enough damage already. Show them that you're made of stronger stuff. Show them that they've underestimated you this whole time. It's the only way to make them eat their words and regret what they do.

Going through the same thing right now, and I'm doing this.

Forcing myself to go out and faking it.
