Max Zoom Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 Max met a woman who was not really the type he went out with normally but her personality was appealing. After a concert Max took her to a bar to meet some of his friends. Up till this point the woman had been quite nice. She was average looking, funny, and bright. Max was thinking that he wouldn't really mind having her as a regular girlfriend even though was only average in the looks department. One of Max's very, very good friends, Jack, is a notorious player. He's extremely good-looking and charming. He picks up women the way other guys get a burger at McDonalds. Anyway, after Max's date sees Jack, Max' evening changes for the worst. She has more than a couple Margaritas and is obviously flirting with him. It's actually embarrasing for Max to see the type of woman he has brought to meet his friends. Jack is having fun too, he knows what's she's doing but he's in control and doesn't go too far. The woman pretty much ignores Max for the rest of the evening. And that SUCKED. Anyway, the night proceeds, Max drives the woman home and says goodnight. Max feels, not so good.. He resolves never to speak to the woman again. The next morning however, the woman phones Max and apologizes for her behaviour the night before. She doesn't know what got into her and she is embarrased and sorry and would like to see Max again. Max was very cold to her and quickly got off the phone. Now Max wonders if he should give her a second chance. Max has other women to go out with but he did like this one's brains and personality. Max needs some advice here.
cinnamonstix49 Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 Give her another chance, "it's not like you're married", or dating even.
EC Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 She did have one too many drinks.. It's hard to find someone that looks decent and can hold a conversation!(even though she cant really hold the liq) I say give her another chance. Even though the thought did cross my mind is she calling you so that she can see your friend again? JK I'm pessimistic sometimes. Give her another chance if she does anything else you dont like then get rid of her. Like you said "Max has other girls he can go out with."
Author Max Zoom Posted July 26, 2004 Author Posted July 26, 2004 Hey Eternally, Max never even considered the possibility that she was calling to set things up so that she could see the playboy again. That dirty liitle girl! No, seriously Max is grateful for you for your thoughts. and you are so right that it's hard to find someone that suits. Max needs to think about this one some more. Max has to keep in mind too that he has, on more than one occasion, been a jerk too.
Fayebelle Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 Fayebelle STILL wants to know why Max refers to himself in the 3rd person. Anyway- girls are funny little critters esp where self esteem is involved. I bartended for 5 yrs and I saw lots of gals act this way. You say she is "average looking" which means she prob hasn't had many occasions to receive admiration from 2 men at once. As you said your pal was incouraging her behaviour- I believe it was the attention she was after..not your friend. It takes a lot of courage to call someone after a first date ESPECIALLY if you realize you acted like a drunken monkey- which leads me to believe she must really like you. Plus I think it's big of you to consider your own silly moments before outright judging this chica.
moimeme Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 Perhaps Max is a former high-level politico? Who now earns his keep from Viagara ads?
Fayebelle Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 It's just so Rick James! like- I'm MaxZoom Bee-ah-tch!
Fayebelle Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 In no way do I mean that in a derogatory manner. Dave Chappelle as Rick James is one of the funniest damn things I've ever seen.
EC Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 Hell yeah I agree!! Hence all the smileys:lmao: I'm rich Bee-atch!
chicasha Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 eh..give her another chance. she might surprise you. first impressions.....might not always be the best. But..doesn't give you the full picture of a person....she might be a lot better the 2nd time around. if not....like u said....u have other people to date. one question. why does Max talk about himself in the 3rd person? :-) just curious...
Author Max Zoom Posted July 26, 2004 Author Posted July 26, 2004 First of all thanks ever so much for the advice. Max thinks he will call the young woman tonite. Make-up sex is considered top-notch but imagine Redemption Sex. (Max is thinking Christina in the Nasty video.) Max will wear Perry Ellis cologne tonite. Max has a number of individuals residing in him who wish to speak in the first person. In order to maintain fairness and a sense of order and decorum it has been decided that Max shall speak in the manner he does. (Actually, it has happened on Loveshack that one of Max's people spoke as though he were actually Max when, clearly he wasn't and you are advised to pay him no mind.) Max prefers Sly Stone to Rick James. After all Max is Everyday People.
Fayebelle Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 (Faye felt selected smileys and her signature were a proper reply )
Fayebelle Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 awwww...What a pal! But I have to wonder if all of Max's everyday people like us or just 1 or 2.
Author Max Zoom Posted July 26, 2004 Author Posted July 26, 2004 In a democracy there are always those who are not happy, nonetheless when Max says he likes someone , you can take it to the bank baby!
