Not that I really care anymore because I have started a new relationship but do you ever have a nagging suspicion that your ex broke up with you over someone else? Sometimes, you get that confirmation in the form of a tagged picture where you see a party you were invited to by a mutual friend and he is there with his current gf. This is the same person that he said he needed to tutor because she was ****ty at her job (supposedly). I truly wish them the best of luck. I'm finally getting into medical school because he broke up with me. I no longer have to deal with any of the whiny moody bull**** and don't have to feel bad that he thinks my family is dysfunctional. Sometimes things work out for the best.

yes its true, they are the ones who are headed into the bad road because they use people like toys. My life also got more meaningful after the break up. And its almost like a new life.

Good coyoteloco!

I'm glad to hear that. LS is a great place to lend each other support. I couldn't imagine how much longer y rehab would be without everyone here.

yeah, I got the "ILYB" speech but I reckon there is someone else (I suspect her personal trainer). I have no actual proof and it may not actually be true but only time will tell. I hope that when/if it does come to light that she has I'd be beyond caring by that point

fingers crossed

you were tagged in the photo at the party you went to and didn't know your ex was there?

Yup. My ex did this, and I should have seen it coming because he did this EXACT same thing to his ex before me. When I was getting to know him he didn't even tell me he had a girlfriend. I was friends with him and falling for him for a good 3 months before he goes, "so i have a girlfriend but i'm so unhappy have been for a really long time"

And he just pulled this whole sob story how he was the victim and how he needed help to get out and he wasn't the bad guy and I fell for it hook line and sinker.

We started dating literally 2 weeks after he split from a girlfriend of over 5 years. I believed him when he swore up and down I wasn't a rebound that he hadn't loved his ex in years.

He pulled the same stunt with me almost 3 years into our relationship. Just up and left, turned cold and moved on as if we were nothing. Found out that there was a girl he met at his new job.

It's funny because he lied to his ex when she asked if there was someone else (me). She even snooped into his phone and found the texts between us and asked again, is there someone else? And still he denied it to her face up and down. I really don't get why people lie! He's such a horrible liar. We were FB official 2 weeks after their split. How are you going to lie to her and say that there's no one else?

My ex tried to do the same thing. He went and deleted all my friends off his FB and I knew he was trying to hide something. How stupid can you really be? And how stupid do you really think I am? I found out through the grapevine about the new girl, but lets be real here people.... I am one TOUGH act to follow and that girl was history in under 30 days. Stupid little boy. Thought you were gonna do better huh? KARMA SUCKS.

And he proved himself to be without a doubt, the most untrustworthy person I've ever come across. Whether he does it because he's a pig, or because he's too much of a coward to ever speak the truth I'll never know, but I hope this eats at him, and this affects him for many years to come.

No fitzanu,

I was invited but I declined because I'm taking 18 credits and working full time this semester. The girl who hosted the party is nice and I guess her intentions were to invite us both and see if things go from there. My ex and I don't run in the same circles so short of some sort of intervention, we never run into each other (thank goodness). He came with the girl he works with and all three (the date, him, and the hostess) were in the picture. Usually people's body language is a dead giveaway so the picture was pretty much their official "coming out" and my closure. I'm okay with it. I don't feel sorry for myself because I've moved on and found someone else. Nor do I feel sorry for his co-worker though. I pretty much knew all his teammates and they all liked me. Some even stayed in contact with just me and not him after they moved to another state. I wouldn't want to be in her shoes. From what he told me (pre-BU), her being able to keep her job depends on him helping her (aka. their "tutoring" sessions)

and Katzee,

I'm reading the book you mentioned.

Keep in mind that I have 3 textbook chapters and about 50 pages of homework every night, but I'm reading it. The "florence" part is ironic because of my career choice

sometime into my relationship, i found out my ex was still talking to his ex. once a week on the phone. He said they were friends. He was with her 3 yrs before me. Said she cheated, and moved back home to live with is family. Then about 3 months into our relationship he goes back to where the girl lives on a week vacation to visit all his friends. I think he saw her when he went. because when he came back he became distant. and then broke things off. Of course months go by and i think he realized he didnt want his ex back after all. And would try to keep in touch with me. I think she is history now at this point. so yeah

so you're saying the party hostess literally invited you, and your ex with his new girlfriend intentionally...that doesn't sound like much of a friend. why would she do that?

I dunno, fitzanu, people do weird and funny things to try and get a rise out of you sometimes.

It's not the first time he's cheated and it probably won't be the last time. I posted on this thread more to get it out of my system than anything else. Most people come on here and ask how they can get closure (whether they should see them one last time and ask, etc etc). I really didn't care because I literally don't have the time to. Seeing that picture pop up via the friend's page could have been a blessing in disguise where she was literally telling me this was what was going on. There was only one picture of them and she knew that I don't communicate with him or his family anymore. Straight up, dropped off the edge of the earth NC. As for whether she is really a friend, I won't know because I went to deleted her and all other mutual friends, family, etc. No more surprises popping up. The girl (hostess) has my number, if she wants to meet in person I might be down with it if I have the time eventually but right now, I need to get my life back. People who cheat think the rules don't apply to them and I've seen too many infectious disease patients with cheating spouses to know that they don't ever stop. Those two can keep each other.

i'm just trying to understand how you know this is your ex's new girlfriend from just one picture involving him and two other girls, aside from 'body language' is all. it would just seem weird for someone knowing it's your ex to invite him and his new girl AND you to the same place, that's a bitter thing for anyone to do, friend or not.

The picture was the nail in the coffin, so to speak. There were other signs that pointed to infidelity but I usually give the benefit of the doubt til I see the actual proof. As for what those body languages signs are, all I can say is that if you take a good enough psych class with person who used to do profiling with the government, then you start to notice certain patterns. They're not exact but certain things will help the pieces fall into place.
