Do I need it more than her?

Hi,

I'm in a bit of a dilemma here - I recently made friends with a girl who now wants to be in a relationship with me. But the thing is, I think I want it more than her.

I'll give you a (very recent!) example - we usually talk every weekend, but she did not get back to me last night, which annoyed me to no end. I called her & questioned her about this, and her explanation was that she has had a busy day.

Am I over-reacting? What would your advice be for dealing with a situation whereby the girl does not keep to a prior commitment? & any other advice in general?

I appreciate the help, & look forward to hear from you all!

Cheers!

Do you go out on dates and see each other?

What was the prior commitment? Because it sounds like she just didn't return your call, and that's not really a "prior commitment." You don't really have a right to be so annoyed that she didn't return a simple phone call. If you two had actual plans with each other that night and she didn't call you back, then you'd be in the right to be annoyed.

On what stage of the relationship are you both in now? Seems to me the relationship is still fresh and new. I'm also curious about this "prior commitment" that you are talking about. It's okay if she doesn't return a phone call if you guys still maintain other kind of contact. If she totally shuts herself off from you for few days, that would be when I'll start to feel annoyed.

If this is your first relationship, its normal to feel "desperate" over her as you are still new and attracted to the feelings that this whole new relationship thing is giving you. Give her some time, perhaps she was really busy that night.
