ever regret rejecting someone because you realized you loved them afterwards?

Just curious about this topic since I've read a couple of forums where people regretted it because they didn't know what they had until it's gone.

 

Have you ever rejected someone but then ended up falling for them later on when they stopped talking to you?

no i havent, because i have only rejected with their best interests at heart.....deb

Read through the forums... You will see a lot of dumpees on here who are victims of this.

 

The Dumper breaks up with them to return to one of their prior Exes.

 

Well the guy I fell for, we weren't official.

 

We both connected at an emotional level and built up quite a bond even though we only knew each other for 7 months. He said he'd always want me in his life.

 

He rejected me for his career...

 

So I posted this forum thinking is it possible for him to regret his decision and want to be with me.

 

Realistically speaking it's unlikely... but I am hoping. Since I was the only person whom he felt like he could express himself and be himself with.

 

I was pretty much the closest person in his life until he rejected me.

 

When he did, I wrote him a farewell letter saying it's painful to remain friends with someone who doesn't want me...

 

Haven't heard from him since. It's been 2 weeks.
