Ms_Sweetness Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 What is the quickest way to gain weight? I'm looking to gain a few extra pounds quickly.
dudesomewhere Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 super size it....3 times a day for 7 days minimum...that should add a good 5lbs or more
faux Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 From what I have heard, and seen, attempting to either gain, or lose weight quickly is never a good idea. I'm not sure it's really all that safe to do those sorts of things quickly.
reasontosigh Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 Faux is right. Be careful what you wish for. Let's put it this way. I do know I could stand to put on about 10 pounds myself. My metabolism, however, is very high. Naturally. So with all that I can eat I still manage to stay the same weight. But once a month I do put on an extra 5 pounds for a few days. Seems my body doesn't like having that all extra weight all at once. Granted, the extra pounds all go to the same place so that doesn't help matters. I guess all that I'm saying is that it would be better to just put on weight gradually - say, a couple pounds a week at most - and allow your body to adjust to it.
Adunaphel Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 I agree with faux too. You could try with a bigger kilocalories intake -go for caloric but healthy food- AND exercise. This way you will have some extra pounds, but it will be muscolar mass-and the extra pounds won't go in all the wrong places. Unless you are really skinny and have too little body fat. Anyway best thing you could do is seeing a dietologist. reasontosigh, But once a month I do put on an extra 5 pounds for a few days. reasontosigh Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 It is, my dear. It was the only thing I could think of to illustrate the potential effects of sudden weight gain on the body as a whole.
