bob the brave Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 ok, i know, i know, don't date at work...but hey i liked her. Anyway, i thought things were going well for weeks, then out of the blue she asks me my height. After I tell her 5'9" (she is 5'7") she avoids me like the plauge. Then she hooks up with a ego-stroking player. This guy is technically married. He has lived with the same meal ticket for 6 years (sleep in the same bed), fathered 2 girls but still refuses to marry her. He drinks a six pack a day, has no education, no skills and no ambition. This guy is fun, flirts with all the girls at work, but respects no one. This girl has been to his house and met his kids. She knows he's technically married. Then, knowing i liked this girl, he comes to my office and says, "I screwed her and there is nothing you can do about it." Just to stroke his ego. Months later this girl comes to me complaining this guy is a jerk (no...really!) and asks me if I still care. She was pretty callous about rejecting me before and I was still hurt, so I said no even though I did. I feel bad because she surprisingly seemed to take it really hard. I struggle with the idea of telling her my true feelings, but given her actions I just don't believe it could really matter to her. What should I do?
Dreamless Sleep Posted September 23, 2012 Posted September 23, 2012 Consider yourself lucky. You are fortunate to have seen that she is shallow like 'the player'. You do what you want. Do you really want to pick up after that trash?
