Slow to open up - should I walk away?

I always get a kiss on the first or second date. This woman I saw twice, once was the first meet off an online site, the second was a ball game. On the second date, I went in for a hug before the ball game when we met up at will call and it felt awkward...like she was in a hurry to get inside. The date seemed to go okay, she was asking me questions, appeared comfortable and accommodating [she took me to the game] but seemed a little distant for my taste if you ask me, and at the end of the date I get another ridged hug. She said she would go out with me again, but I am skeptical if that is going to happen. I waited 5 days to text her and 5 hours later, at the end of the work day I got a response with a little smiley face at the end of the text. I kind of wish if she was uninterested, after 5 days of silence, she would have ignored my text and not responded at all, then at least I would know. As it sits, I see mixed signals and I'm hating it.

If I don't get a third date, or it falls thru the cracks, it will make sense really quickly, but if she goes out with me again, my barometer is all messed up. Has anyone dated a person who was that slow to open up? She is a good woman, a keeper, so I don't want to throw it away if I am misreading her interest level and she is just not comfortable, but does this seem like Antarctica or what? Are some women really this slow to get comfortable??
