Newyorky Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 I've been seeing my girlfriend for nearly a year and a half, we've had ups and downs but were pretty good together. Recently, in fact two days ago we went out to a night club with our friends, we got drunk, but she got to the point where she had no control over herself, she kissed 3 boys, I found out because a friend told me that night.I confronted her and shes unbelievably remorseful, I know she had no control over herself, she couldnt remember a thing and i believe her, she is telling the truth, she feels sick to death with what shes done and is disgusted with herself, she doesnt feel she deserves a second chance, but part of me wants to try and mend her mistake, i dont want to throw away all those 16 months on one mistake where her mental state wasn't herself, i know shes not capable of cheating sober, but she really had no control. What should i do?

What should i do? Yes. The good old "I was drunk" excuse. Its just that ...an EXCUSE. Alcohol doesn't make you lose control. It lowers inhibition so its easier to do the things you want to do. Tell me...if she said "I got drunk and was gangbanged by three guys who were hung like a bull......but I'm *really* sorry"...would you be as forgiving? I think not.
Author Newyorky Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 She didn't tell me it happened, i had to tell her, she cant face anything, i know she aint capable of it if she can control herself, i myself have went out and found out i kissed people the next day, having to be told, single at the time too. She wasnt able to respond to simple commands, instead afterwards she just fell all over the place. Now shes just filled with complete remorse, feeling like she should die :/

And if you're both blacking out and can't remember things, then its probably a good time to re-evaluate your decisions. If it was just alcohol with her though, I still don't buy that she doesn't know what she was doing.
SensitiveTJ Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Have you two considered, y'know, not drinking? Because it sounds like all hell breaks loose when either of you is intoxicated.
road Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 You are dating which is an audition for the job of your wife. She has shown that she is a cheater. Nothing to hate. She has shown that she is not wife material so you just terminate her job as girl friend. Only a fool would keep her employed at your firm and promote her to a wife after what she has done. As to alcohol excuse. Only a fool believes that.
veggirl Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 She "can't control herself"? So if one of these guys had tried to have sex with her, she would have done it because she lacks control? That's worrisome. I wonder what she was doing that made these guys think they should go in for a kiss? Huh. (also wondering how old you both are)
Matlock Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 If it was me, I'd drop her like a bad habit.
