I would pay attention only to those who have been in committed relationships for double digit years who are in your real life that you can actually confirm. Use that to determine where the trend is. I have heard years ago that the average height difference between a man and a woman in a relationship is 6-7" but averages can be deceiving. Yep, that's the thing when it comes to posts on some of these 'would you date' type threads. 'yeah I once dated a man who was shorter then me'...could easily be that she went on one date with him, or had a short relationship with a boy back in high school. Given this specific topic, I don't think the majority of woman would have a problem with dating a guy 3" taller than them. For most though I would expect his height to get taken into account as part of his desirability. As a few others have noted earlier, I also think its the shorter girls who would have more issue with the 3". Edited September 22, 2012 by ascendotum
