I'm in the midst of a trial separation and have been feeling more and more like marriage therapy is only making things worse by continually forcing us to rehash and relive our issues. In my desperation, I've come across all these systems like Your Marriage Savior, Married And Happy, and Save My Marriage Today. Are any of these sytems legit at all? All the "reviews" out there are clearly fraudulent and there's no way to get a read on these things. Has anybody had any luck with these things?

I came out of a long-term relationship that felt like a marriage. When I did some research into "saving" the relationship, I came across Divorce Busters. I think the woman who owns the site also wrote a book.

From reading the DB forums, I think that the goal was mainly to come to terms with the marriage/relationship ending rather than actually saving it. That is, my impression is that many couples ended up divorced rather than reconciling.

I think that you have to judge these things for yourself. You need to aim for a balance of feeling like you did all that you could (whatever that looks like for you) without losing your self-esteem and dignity.

I think there is something to be said for some. Like the magic of making up! I also am reafing a lot of leslie cane articles and her advice is free online but seems to be more geared toward woman wanting hubby back!

Look into John Gottman.

If a therapist doesn't seem to work for you, ask about his approach, voice your worries. If you aren't on the same page, try a different one.
