Author Leigh 87 Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 Leigh, I think it's obnoxious and boorish for people to make commentary about other peoples fatness like your boyfriend did, and I would tell him so if I were there. I also think that you are way off base the way you apply your own thought processes regarding working out, bodies, and eating and how people feel about all that stuff to others. I assure you that you are pretty unique in your thinking about those things. My thought process to working out goes as follows: Me, Leigh, loves working out, because I really enjoy beiIng able to eat normally, and I enjoy having a firm body that looks good too. I also like the mood it puts me in. I do not work out or view it in an unhealthy manner... I do not believe in any harmful practices, such as starvation or over exercising. So what's the issue at hand? I realise not everyone can see the benifits of being slim and fit. That is their perogative. I have friends who do not get the whole fitness thing and I could not care less. Of course I encourage them to come for a walk if they are to hang about me all day ( seeing as I want to do active things as per usual ) - but do not insist if they are not interested. I have sort of sat at a table with girls who were all bigger than they coul;d have been, all eating pies and junk food, and thougth to myself " wow, they are all great girls with great lives actually, yet if noly they knew that even great lives can be improved by geing fit and working out more" But it is only a passing thought.... it is no like I pitty them!
Author Leigh 87 Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 I REALLY hate men who drive their cars with a group of their mates, and drive past girls and call sh*t out though... Those people are just horrible! I mean, it is not a girls fault that she is unnatractive to look at...!!!!!!!!!!!! In my case they yell " slut", if I am on a run and have a singlet on:sick: seeing as I am clearly not fat or ugly enough to them to call fat or ugly..... ............My partner and his mates were all part of the popular group growing up, and hung around a lot of girls! They also loved driving around and yelling sh*t out of their cars...... I found it sort of gross, that Andrew is a little like that himself... I told him off for it. I Said " I had anorexia, as you know ( and have badly felt the repercussions of), so how about you think about what your stupid remarks can do to a womens self esteem? Your one comment could make her not eat that day, and set off a terrible chain of events for her"
