I am starting to get out and meet different people since my dating life lately was pretty lame and it's been quite interesting... I've been also reading a lot and I've realized that I'm terrible at the "dating game" or however you want to call it, I've done the complete opposite to what, as a woman, you're supposed to do and no wonder Why I get the results I get... I've got used to get what I want when I want (with a lot of hard work) so its hard for me to deal with all the don't call him let him call you, wait for him to make the first move kind of situation, though unfortunately that's what seems to work.

Anyway here's one of my latest situation: I went to this event where there were so many single professionals, exactly what I needed to meet new people. This cute guy called my attention, he was taking with some friends and I decided I would approach him. I went to him and asked him I he worked in a hospital, implying he looked really familiar and he said no, sorry Im not a doctor... I tried to apologize and say that he looked familiar and I thought it was from the hospital since I work in one and as I was about to get on my way he said "hi, I'm Peter"... Then I introduced myself and we talked for a few minutes... While we were talking some of his friends would come by and he would introduce each one of them to me and say "she's so and so, and she's a doctor"... Then his friends started calling him that they were leaving and he came to me and said "it was very nice meeting you" and he seemed in a rush but he wouldn't just go so I asked him if he wanted to keep in touch, he said "yes, you seem like a really cool person" so I was going to get my phone out and he handed me his business card and then left with his friends... It completely threw me off, I can tell he was at least slightly interested but I also noticed I made most of the moves and if he really wanted he could have gotten my number... I really don't want to give it much thought because it's not a big deal, he was cute and I would love to get in touch with him but if I don't I havent lost anything, it just bothers me that now the ball is in my court when I don't really want it. What would you do girls or boys what would you want the girl to do if it was you? I'm more interested in hear the different opinions than actually an answer of what to do, I know I'll either throw the card away or write him an email with my phone number as an impulse (I do that sometimes :-/).

Thanks!

You want to see him again. I'm pretty sure that throwing away his business card isn't going to get you that result. Just email him already. Although I bet the card also has his phone number...

You should have exchanged his card with your own business card followed by deep ceremonial bows like a proper Japanese businessman.

Either will be more for professional use rather than personal.
