lynntlb78 Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 I'm not jealous of the babies or buying a house together. I bought my own last year and bachelor life is AWESOME. But having someone to do things with, and talk to all the time is pretty good, just in a different way then friends. The thing that I find sucks the most is finding that person who adds to your life. I was single for several years while pursuing a degree and I was a happy single girl. I didn't need anybody, I wanted somebody. But I was okay either way.My own house, schedule, car. Weddings and babies didn't bother me. But I didn't know what I was missing...until I had it...until it was gone. Now marriages and baby news comes with difficulty. I had finally seen myself with that future, in that role and now its all gone. That makes being alone hard. Before I didn't have a void, now there is a big one. 1
Minka333 Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 I was NEVER fond of weddings or marriages ever since i was a young girl. I don't know why. But society is so judgmental. I could be a happy single girl forever but relatives and family adds pressure and it sucks! Now i'm at an age where i should take the next step or be branded by my narrow minded clan as a failure. I hate this so much and now i'm so confused. Why was weddings ever invented??? why can't just 2 people be happy together without all the fuss. Sigh! Yet a part of me also believes i should try it. Weird! 1

Weird! I never really cared about what society was saying and I still don't but I actually didn't mind marriage or children with my ex. I was willing to go that route. I'm pretty sure i'm not getting married any time soon now.
