O'farrell Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I live in downtown SF and out of the thousands of people I see, I might see one black girl and white guy together every 2-3 days. And some of my black female friends tell me they just aren't attracted to white men. Apparently they have no swag and the black women feel physically stronger than the men. This is just what I have been told it may or may not be factual.
insertnamehere Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Any guy who claims race is such an issue that he'd never date a black girl without regard to her appearance is just secretly trying to let the world know he is gay. I mean, I can say I don't really have a thing for Asian girls (lack of figure, to be honest), but I promise you there are definitely Asian girls out there who I would follow like a puppy dog the whole way to hell and back. In fairness, I say this as a white guy who has dated three black girls, one hispanic girl and one mixed black-Asian girl, all while living in a 90% white area. So, obviously I'm just trying to date a Model U.N.

Big disclaimer: I'm built like an NFL defensive end. So, that doesn't really negate what you said.

LittlePrince Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I always wonder about this because I am black and I pretty much only date white men... I love them! I always wonder if they like dating outside their race. I personally am not like.. Youre average black girl (not to be stereotypical) but I love country I grew up in the burbs I have a valley girl type voice lol all my friends call me Oreo haha I always feel so afraid to approach them because what if I'm not good enough or pretty enough or they only like white women? It just scares me but I know I'm not attracted to black guys so.. I don't believe they have a problem with it but unlike white women they tend not to date or have sex outside of their race.
GirlontheLam Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I live in downtown SF and out of the thousands of people I see' date=' I might see one black girl and white guy together every 2-3 days. [/quote'] I live in Oakland, and I see a lot of bw/wm couples (and kids). SF doesn't have many black people interacting with white people in general. It is a fairly common pairing in Oakland. And some of my black female friends tell me they just aren't attracted to white men. Apparently they have no swag and the black women feel physically stronger than the men. This is just what I have been told it may or may not be factual. The BS of swag. Personally, if I am attracted to a white guy, he meets the same general requirements I am looking for in anyone else. I am really sick all men with this whole false "swag" act though. I find there are certain types of white guys that approach me.
LittlePrince Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I am really sick all men with this whole false "swag" act though. Sometimes I'll be following a black guy doing a ridiculous pimp walk and do my own variation on his so it looks like the circus has come to town. I really should stop making fun of people irl. That's how people get beaten up. Leave it for the internet.

What the heck is wrong with you?
Emilia Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 And you are...?? Oh no one so irrelevant. I respect old-time poster - unlike your aggressive self
Author ImperfectionisBeauty Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 I respect old-time poster - unlike your aggressive self I'm pissed off ok?! However if you look I did change my attitude
taiko Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I'm not black enough to understand how purposefully walking like you are handicapped is cool. I've only ever known one black guy who had to walk that way because he was from the third world and was born with bow legs. I believe it was done so the police would not have probable cause to pull you over for your weapon, the walking stick. That pimp stroll is said to be part of the reason the Crips, for crippled, street gang pick up their name.

But even black guys that come from outside of America will do some sort of contrived walk who didn't grow up in this culture.
Blastoplast Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I dated a black girl for a few months. I enjoyed it, she was a wonderful person but we just didn't really click in certain areas. Being in a smaller town we'd get some looks, but I didn't care. She was gorgeous and I liked her mom's cooking!
taiko Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 But even black guys that come from outside of America will do some sort of contrived walk who didn't grow up in this culture. Well its been in popular culture since the 1950s maybe the 40s.
Michael Johnson Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 I don't think is racism. I think is low self esteem and self hate. To dislike all men of your ethnic group is truly odd. I think it is delusion. Someone wanting to be of another race and tries to distance themselves as far away from their origins as they can.
insertnamehere Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I felt sure you were going to end that sentence with the word "racist". In fairness, considering that racism and homophobia are co-morbid, you're welcome to use that to also fill in the blank. In my experience, the fear of _____ arises from a position of uncertainty, doubt, mistrust and low self-worth. There's a whole ecosystem of human flaws that perpetuates all that crap.
tigressA Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Everyone knows mixed people are the hottest, so interracial relationships FTW! I'm mixed (black/white) myself, and have had no problems attracting and/or dating men of all races. I really don't see differences between races as far as personalities...I think that's BS. IME (and I've said this before) it's when you date inter-culturally/religiously that things can get messy.

Except people of different races typically come from different cultures even when they reside in the same nation such as the US. I have found for the most part African Americans differ in views, behavior, and character from every other race in America. If I were to consider the majority the litmus test for normalcy African Americans come out to be a very unique case almost to the point of seriously questionable mental health. That's when I realized we have made African Americans a special case so we could find them acceptable for inclusion in society, but people still notice the differences and act accordingly so the smokescreen doesn't really work.

Mme. Chaucer Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 (this looks like an undercover racist comment to me) Read his other posts for some overt racist comments. Lots of ignorance on display there.
LittlePrince Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 I wouldn't go that far, I just have zero attraction to black women. I am actually attracted to quite a few.
LittlePrince Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Good. Have fun. I like Brazilian women. I don't have a particular preference.
GirlontheLam Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Good. Have fun. I like Brazilian women. oops considering at least 50% of Brazilians are black, your views sound a little inconsistent.
LittlePrince Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 oops considering at least 50% of Brazilians are black, your views sound a little inconsistent. We knew he meant native to Brazil and not of Brazilian nationality.
GirlontheLam Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Many black women seem to have some sort of diva complex going for them. So no. I think people are watching way too much TV. I know it is hard to believe, but black women come in all shapes, sizes, skin tones and personalities. There is really no one definition of what it means to be a black woman. 5
