surlyboy Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 I met a woman online and we went out for the first time last week. It was a 3 hour date at a restaurant/bar. After the date, she said I was funny and that she would go out with me again. For the second date, she ended up taking me to a ball game, which lasted 4 hours. I haven't gotten any cues yet that it’s okay to kiss and her body language was a little distant, but she seemed comfortable around me. She was polite, accommodating, asked me if I had a good time on the walk to the parking garages [we drove separately] and said I was ‘definitely entertaining’ after the date. I asked her out again, she agreed to another date, but after she got back from a weekend trip she has planned next weekend. I knew for the past week that she was going out of town Friday. She plays a sport on Monday’s and it sounded like she was uninterested in setting up another date Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. She suggested it was okay once she got back the following week. That seems to put some distance between us and even though she agreed to another date and outlined a time that she would be willing to go, it feels a little off. I stopped texting her at the moment, because I’m unsure and don’t want to look desperate. If I do see her again, it wouldn’t be until next week anyway. I’m going to wait until Thursday and send her a short text, wishing her a great weekend and see if she responds to that. I’m kind of feeling some mixed signals here...do you think I was let down easy, or am I misreading her?
