I'll make this short and sweet. I could use opinions and advice as blunt as possible.

I am a full time student. I also work full time. I recently go to know someone that I used to "see around" here or there. We've been talking and hanging out for the past 3 months. We talk just about every day, and more recently, it's gotten physical - kissing, hugging. Nothing too serious.

He openly told me multiple times that he *likes* me. He told me he is NOT seeing anyone else, not talking to anyone else and not interested in anyone else right now - just me. He said he is committed to me but does not want a "girlfriend" or a serious relationship right now. He said he doesn't know if I'm "the one" and can't decide that right now. However, his actions are unique - he occasionally asks me to hang out and we usually attend the same events and plan to meet up anyway. I've been introduced to his family and his best friend, who he told that he liked me.

I'm not sure what to think or whether I should let this continue to heat up.

Any thoughts?

I honestly would be very careful about such situations. I'm not saying he has bad intentions, but you don't want to invest too much energy and emotions into this relationship/friendship only to be told that he changed his mind / had a eureka moment about what he wanted to do with his life / etc. I have too many friends whose boyfriends told them the same thing from the start, and even after 8 years of being together in a more or less normal relationship, gave them the boot. You don't want to be wasting precious time on someone who you are not sure is going to ultimately want a serious relationship. I'd give it no more than 3 months and then expect a decision from him. Trust me, at the end of the day, it's for your own protection.
