Thinking about getting a new cologne, any suggestions? Preferably one that makes you think "DAMN, now that's what a REAL MAN smells like!"

Anything Coolwater, or Very Sexy for Men. I always get complimented when I wear either. Just don't shower in the sh*t, lol.

My brother used to wear a cologne from Aeropostale. He might still, we live in different cities now, but when we both lived at home I used to borrow it and it smelled really good. He's also really manly, so no fears about it not be a manly man's cologne.

I've found that Fierce or Aqua di Gio seems to make the panties melt. YMMV.

Whatever you use, use very little of it. Even if you can't smell it on yourself, everyone else can.

Creed. Buy it, it's amazing. We all love it.

Dior is mid priced..I love it.

Armani is reasonably priced and an excellent option.

I prefer the natural scent of a (clean) man - THAT is what a real man smells like to me :)

Don't know the names of any guy's colognes, apart from the old one my dad used to wear, but I really love the wood scents like cedar and sandalwood. I would say go for something with those in it and something light, not overwhelming.

Creed: Green Irish Tweed and Silver Mountain. The real stuff, not the coolwater crap they try to pass off as Creed GIT

Dolce&Gabban light and blue, Locosta Essential

Whatever you buy, avoid Calvin Klein's OBSESSION. Smells like bug spray and is beyond offensive.

I've hated most colognes on men with the exception of L'Occitane's Cade.

Yes, I agree. 'Obsession' is stomach-churningly revolting, as is Brut33, Old Spice or lynx.

Hugo Boss Natural Cologne for Men, or Joop Homme are both terrific, in my opinion.

I'm really liking the idea of the new 007 aftershave. Yeah it may sound cheesy or tacky, but I don't care, I think the name sounds pretty cool. :)

And the description of the scent sounds like it'd be really nice.

Perfume/cologne is personal, and varies from person to person... in my opinion. I think sweeter cologne compliment my natural scent :D

Varies quite a bit, yes!

The best way to choose a scent is to put in on and then see of you or others like it in an hour. Smelling it on a paper or on someone else gives not much indication of what it will smell like on you. With experience you will know, like this man does, what works best for you.

I'm from Buffalo too by the way.

Given that I don't really spend my pittance on much outside of food - there hasn't been much scope to try out different colognes but I have had some good ones.

My favorite is probably Diesel - it complements my natural smell really well. Lotus was also really good but they don't make those anymore. I recently got IN2U by Calvin Klein, and I like it so far. Still prefer Diesel though.

Lynx Africa is an able back-up deodorant (the shower gel is better), although recently my Dad introduced me to Pitrok, which is an odorless deodorant that makes your sweat......well, odorless.
