I went out on saturday night with some friends and the guy I like and am currently flirting with wasn't there. But just before we left he turned up, saying he was just passing. He gave me a hug and asked what I was doing now. I said a few of us were going to a friend's and he asked if he could come. So we then spent about 3 hours listening to music and all talking and laughing whilst my friends were far from subtle! We were talking about an eBay shop I have last week so I gave him one of my cards with my email and mobile number. I didn't tell him to phone or text but it means he could if he wanted to. He hugged me goodbye twice..

 

But he hasn't phoned or texted...and now my friends think that is a really bad sign

It could be. If he is shy he might think you didnt give a good enough invitation for him to call. if he isnt, then he doesnt dig you, and thats why he didnt call.

Talk to other guys, be polite but for your own sake move on and ignore him as a potential romantic partner.

Relax. A lot of guys like to play this game to make the girl wait so they don't look desperate.

 

If you haven't heard anything by the end of this week, then chalk it up to him not being interested. But seriously, no guy wants to come off so desperate to text you the second after they end the night with you.

True it's been only two days. Still, a Sunday is a perfect day to initiate a chat and to arrange something... I suppose the OP will see but there aren't many guys I know who waited this long.
