She and her new BF texts inadvertantly forwarded to me.

What a strange day.

I'm sure that I'll look and find this funny, not now. I've been trying to maintain a comfortable distance from my estranged wife. Limiting exposure to a business type relationship and stuff with our teenagers. And certainly not stalking her and her new man.

I started to recieve a string of texts on my phone between her and her boyfriend. Nothing racy. But I don't want to see them exchange terms of endearment. I wanted to alert them. Mainly to save myself some pain. I tried to call her-straight to voicemail. Text her-no response. I tried to call him-voicemail.

I knew that she was to be traveling to a sporting event for my daughter and her text mentioned using her i-pad. She rarely uses it. Her phone has been stuck in her hand 24-7 for 3 years. The phone must have somehow been broken or dropped in the tub or pool I assumed. I tried to call my other kid who always has her phone. Thankfully she didn't answer for once-she was driving with her mother to her sisters' meet. I sent a FB message to the STBXW to call immediately. She must have been on FB because she called with my daughter's phone right away.

I was right. The phone fell into the pool. She was stunned about the texts and became hostile. 'You'll have a picnic with that.' What did I miss? I didn't ask. She told me that they had also been forwarded to my daughter's phone. I hope they didn't go to my other 2 kids phones. Blah.

I have no intentions of renewing my relationship with her. But it still made my chest tighten. I haven't really come to terms with her 'happiness' with another man. Crazy. I've tried to write my full story a few times. It always seems incomplete. I'll try again.

Oh w0w I cannot imagine this intrusion into your brain. Worse yet is teenage children having to be a party. Agreed that an element of humor exists. You're a better man than most to make the effort to inform her.

Painful and ridiculous as it is--great story. Not a mention of karma though!
