Author irc333 Posted September 16, 2012 Author Posted September 16, 2012 Like when he commented while using my dishwashing liquid that I have so many small and local business products in my home - and I'm "anti-corporate". Yeah, I knew of a guy that boycotted "Snapple" , it was some stupid reason. Apparently there was some dirt on them.
Untouchable_Fire Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Others want to date women, but don't want to be fussed with their silly "women's politics". There are not a huge amount of super conservative women out there in the dating pool. Most get married soon, and tend to not get divorced. They also just by the nature of being conservative... don't tend to be out trying to change the world. So... the women in the dating pool tend to be left of center on average. Living in a very liberal area... I have a lot of experience with "women's politics" type thinking. All negative. I don't talk politics with certain family members, friends, and acquaintances because there is no point. I don't put politics on my fb page because I don't want my fb page to host a political debate. But a potential romantic partner? Yes, I would want to know their politics, and more importantly, how they discuss politics. We don't need to agree, but can we disagree civilly? Can we agree to disagree, and respect each other's point of view? That's important to find out. I think this is very true. Most people do not make rational or informed political decisions. They make an emotional choice and then bend every fact and argument whatever direction is required to fit their worldview.
Disenchantedly Yours Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 I couldn't care less if the girl I'm dating is into politics or any other topics of the supposedly educated. Or if she agrees with me. I've met so many people who just try to look smart. Try to impress by showing how many fancy concepts or dead philosophers they can name while showing a gross lack of understanding about things not drilled into you in the classroom. Never an original thought in their head. I would much rather date an actually intelligent girl who's passion was shoes than I would one of those posers. Shoes are pretty awesome. Especially boots. 1
