I want to do something for my boyfriend because we've just been through a rocky patch and I want to say that I still love him  , that we're gonna be okay, that I'm sorry for things I said etc.

The thing is, I find it really hard to find romantic cute things to do for or give to men! Like there really isn't any sterotypical gift or anything for men, like there is for women ie: flowers etc.

So can anybody (guys and girls!) give me some ideas of what I could do for my man?

Thanks a bunch in advance!

Oh come on, no stereotypical gift for men?! :) Best gift for him: You in sexy lingerie, waiting at the door when he comes home, along with some beer/wine/champagne/his favorite beverage etc. or food or something. ;)

Hey,I'd have to say that i agree with Fritz a woman in lingerie is the best gift a woman could possibly give her boyfriend.Atleast it always works for me..lol... :D Good luck on whatever you decide.

A massage is a great gift for anyone after a rocky period. Make it extra romantic and go together before heading out to dinner. You can't help but having a relaxing evening after that.

Then -bust out the lingerie!

I use the following criteria when selecting gifts for men. Works every time.

1. It must plug in and/or run on batteries

2. It must have buttons/knobs/dials/switches/triggers

3. If it lights up that is a big PLUS

4. If it lights up AND makes noise (buzzes/beeps/chirps, etc.) that is wonderful

5. If using it will irritate you in some way---its a must-have for men

6. If it has no practical purpose at all, and meets the criteria in 1-5 above, then it is the absolute perfect gift.

A few suggestions:

Memory sticks for the computer (that plug into the USB port) some light up. The can get expensive though--look for sales

A universal remote control that looks like a futuristic weapon (we have one that looks like a Star Trek Next Generation phaser. It has the sound effects and lights up. It has a practical purpose though, so it doesn't meet criteria #6 above)

Super-soaker (or similar) water gun. It meets criteria #'s 2 & 5. You'll need to put something with it though to meet criteria #1

Go into Bath and Body Works and pick something out for him. I love their Woodland cologne, and everyone else seems to think it smells quite wonderful. Their shower gel and conditioner is also nice, as well as a few other male-centered products in that place. Maybe I'm alone in this, but when someone buys me something from Bath and Body Works, I just get all happy inside.

Psst.... Bath and Body Works also has some amazing massage oils and such, which would be very good for a romantic night. If you can consider such a thing a present, go for it.

The last time some poor soul gave my husband anything from Bath & Body (or any type of cologne, lotion, or grooming aid) it was sold, unopened, in our next garage sale. If he starts to stink, I spray him with Glade. There is a Hawaiian scent that smells wonderful!

I'm telling 'ya--it's gotta plug in or run on batteries!

LoL

Yeah, my boyfriend is like that too- all he needs is his Irish Springs soap and some Chrome cologne and he's set to go

However, the massage oil would be a good idea. We don't have Bath and Body works here in Canada, and for some reason it's like IMPOSSIBLE to find massage oil... And then the one time I do, I'm with my mom and for some reason I'd feel embarassed if she knew I was buying that, cuz she picked it up and made some comment!

Any other ideas guys?? I need all the help I can get!
