leoc1973 Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 I have posted my story a bunch of times and asked for advice a lot and actually have taken some of it. That being said. My ex has a book "how to drive a guy wild". She knows I know that she has it and what its all about. Its pretty much supposedly a guideline on how to get and keep your hooks in a guy. In this book there are 12 things that "Guys can't resist". So my ex decided to put these 12 things in action. Knowing that I will pick up on it and think she wants me back. I mean why else would a guy think their ex wants to drive them wild? Anyways after she does all these things she meets up with me on a coffee date. It was 100 degrees out but she was dressed like she is going to the prom. All made up, changed her hair back to the way I like it, really great looking dress(that I always told her was my favorite) This was her idea to meet by the way. Then she does the 12th thing on the list "dress to kill and act confident and mysterious" whatever that means? lol but I digress. I tell her "why don't you just come out and say it, why play games?" she says "say what?" I say, "Just tell me you want me back you don't have to play around with me" she says, "what would give you that idea? I am so happy with my life and I have a boyfriend" As you can see I was completely mind F'ed!! I was prepared for to reunite and was so happy about it and she tells me she has a boyfriend, which was new news to me. I pointed out that she was playing head games with me and that she went down that list(literally in order) and did every thing on it. Like everything!! She plays dumb some more and I tell her I feel like an ass and she says sorry I just don't know what would give you that idea. Point is guys and gals. Like it has been said a million times before on this site. Unless they come back and tell you right out. Don't fall for the breadcrumbs(full slices of bread for mine) Oh and a side note: I know that everyone thinks that their ex would never do that to them. But mine was the sweetest girl in the world. Like would catch a spider and let it outside because she didn't wanna kill it. People will disappoint you. Just be prepared for the worst and hope for the best.

amaysngrace Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 I don't know if it's true or not that she has a boyfriend, but if she does she just used you to start the list up with the new guy. Be glad she is gone regardless.
Mike_d Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I am so happy with my life and I have a boyfriend proper response if you can think on your feet: ... and I have a goldfish her: what?? you: oh, I thought we were talking about things that didnt matter allows you to retake the upper hand you know she is going to mind eff you, and crazy can be attractive, god knows I know this one by heart, but you know that all the other signals were there about why she was sitting in front of you. you should have made her work harder, that's what she really wants. next time leave the bar high and allow her to do some of the work. stop helping her. but, is this crzy stuff what you really want in your life?
Simon Phoenix Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I would have asked her if her "boyfriend" was going to take her to Homecoming since she apparently dressed up to go to a high school formal. But in all seriousness you should have acted like the way she was acting or dressing was no big deal. She wants you to call her on it because she wants to take you off your game. If you are worried about what her motivations are, she's won. If you act like it's no big deal, then she's thrown for a loss.
