Hopeful30 Posted September 13, 2012 Posted September 13, 2012 I was on the subway today and saw a cute guy who was looking at me I wasnt sure if he was looking because he was interested or because he thought he recognized me I wish he approached me and he didnt and i realized its because i didnt give him any signs What are some signs a guy likes you? because i dont want to be random and smile at every guy that happens to glance at me lol

That gives him an invitation to say something. Worst case, you get a smile in return. Best case, you get a conversation with a cutie. 2

Not for sure. Myself being a shy guy I would have to be extremly sure she was interested to go strike up a conversation if it was a complete stanger. Smiling, making eye contact is a good indication. But really, if you're interested don't be afraid to make the move and go talk to him.

Because that's all anyone has to go on based on fleeting glances... because i dont want to be random and smile at every guy that happens to glance at me lol There's nothing wrong with smiling and acknowledging everyone you see whilst out and about, is there...? Maybe even throw in a casual verbal greeting in there while you're at it. It's not random if you make a habit of doing it to everyone... 1

Really? Maybe I'm living in the stone age but seriously, is that how things work these days? I guess I've lost touch with reality. Give him signs of what? What would really come out of it? Say you smiled. He smiles back. He starts a conversation. Then what? You jump out of the train together and go to his place? Go grab lunch together? Exchange phone numbers? I don't think you're being realistic here. Or maybe I'm living in the stone age.

Seriously? On the subway? Guess you must be so desperate. That's actually pretty creepy. It's one thing to interact with someone at a pub/coffee shop, etc., where people are out to socialize, etc., it's another to hook up on a subway train. Sheesh, guess some people have no standards.

If only you were this judgmental when seeing someone smile at you on the subway. Actually dating at the moment, so no thanks, and even if I were to spend the rest of my life being single, I wouldn't hook up with a random guy who smiles at me on a subway.
