My ex and I work together. We went out a long time ago for a short while. She went back to an abusive ex and wound up having 3 kids with him. All girls, one 11 and twins, 8.

Fast forward almost 12 years. She had nothing but problems with the baby's dad. He wound up going to jail (got out recently) and pretty much has been on her own since.

About a week ago, she announced to everyone she was three months pregnant with her 4th child. Another guy at work a few years younger than her. When this new guy found out his stomach turned inside out. The initial shock has worn off and it appears he's gonna ride it out. However,he has not moved in with her, married her, or even begun to provide financial support.

I know her brother and we're pretty good friends. I had him do a job for me but forgot to give him the cash when he was done. The following day his sister (pregnant girl) calls me demanding money he owes her. I told her I'd talk to him and go from there. My deal was with him and she was never involved.

The next day at work she approached me again for this money in front of customers! They heard it and one even asked what that was all about.

Look, I've never been married or had a baby on the way with anyone but why would a measly $60 be on her mind when she should be the happiest person in the place being that she's gonna have another baby?

The father of the 3 girls has threatened her physically if he ever found out she was with someone new, let alone pregnant. He obviously doesn't know yet.

She is broke.

Her car is a beater.

Her house is only 2 bedrooms and outdated.

Almost 6 months ago, she saw me with another woman. The very next day, she called my friend at work and asked who she was and how long we've been dating, etc.

I keep it professional and go about my business but I wanna know if there's gonna be more episodes and what can I do to get 'em to stop.

Give her (or her brother, whatever) the $60 and end communication with her. That may be hard, seeing as you two work together. Anything other than the job would not be discussed with her at this point.

Nothing against this girl you know, but I would run away. Sounds like drama you don't want anything to do with. She is asking about some girl you were with? What's that all about? I wouldn't be getting a good vibe from that, personally. Just wierd.

Best of luck to her, though. She has a tough road ahead.

All you need to concern yourself with is you, and only you. Get away from her.

Paid him the money the day after he did the job. She kept asking me for the money.

Why is it that this seemingly unstable woman continues to become pregnant? What was baby daddy #4 thinking?

It seems you may feel sympathy toward her? You seem very tuned into the dynamics, it's amazing she has maintained employment for such a lengthy term.

Minimize any contact as best you can.

Unfortunately, its people like that that seem to have the most children. And sadly the kids usually learn from mommy and wind up just as bad as their mother. It's what I call the foodstamp entitlement generation and it's growing.

Another leach on society.
