rainfall Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I think your experience is unique, as I don't think most women like long hair on men. I've always prefered men with long hair. I thin every guy I have every dated has hair longer than what is considered normal for men. 1
AmericanGraffiti Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 It really depends on the guy and how they can pull it off. If they're very confident, any hairstyle can look good. Some guys look good with long grunge hair while others look better clean cut. My boyfriend now is the first man I've dated that is bald but he looks great with no hair as he has a handsome face. However, there are a few haircuts that won't budge like longer hair than mine, fro-hawks, or gel hair. I don't like any products, I like it natural. I once dated a guy that used to put toothpaste in his hair. One rule for me is that he washes his hair everyday. One of my pet peeves is when I can smell oil buildup on their scalp. huh, i have longish hair, like to a bit below my eyes and only wash it about every 5th day to a week. I hate the days i wash it because its unmanageable and i have to pour the product in. Dont wash it for a few days and i have soft, clean, manageable hair that i dont need any product for....besides, shampoo is bad for your hair-much healthier to only wash infrequently
TheFinalWord Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 (edited) Ever read the bible story of Samson and Delilah? God gave Samson great strength, which was tied to his long flowing hair. God told him not to cut his hair, and also to stay away from Delilah because she was a heathen woman. Well, he fell for this woman, and told her his secret. And she cut his hair one day as he slept and it took away all his mighty strength. Thus allowing Samsons enemies to capture him, as Delilah was in cahoots with them. See avatar Samson was a nazirite, one of the rituals associated with a nazirite vow was to not cut your hair. John the Baptist was a nazirite too http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazirite When I was a metal head I had long hair. It was blonde and girls were jealous lol My gf at the time loved it. Girls that are into long hair on guys, are really into it. Most women don't like it though. Unless you look like the guy on the front of romance novels (Fabio ) I've had short hair for about 8 years now. Much easier lol I think Crew Fiber is the bomb. Gives control, but also doesn't even look like any product is in your hair Buy American Crew Fiber for Hold & Shine & More | drugstore.com Edited September 12, 2012 by TheFinalWord
KungFuJoe Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 I want a serious pompadour. I want my hair to look like you could surf on it. 2

Though I might try Bumble and Bumble's SumoWax when I return from deployment...I thought that their SumoTech was a little too weak of a product... Though I started using the Axe paste as something really cheap to hold me over for the next year, and I think it'll do just fine.

I never tried the SumoWax. Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out

In addition to your comments on posting 'pointless threads', we are also a bunch of strangers who like interacting with each other on LS and sometimes behave like friends even though we have never met - I know this is one of your other gripes Anything else that's bothering you about LS?
Mme. Chaucer Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 KungFuJoe This would be more fun to surf on, IMO http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSE5K1JnNpDhNbbQ8leskco1DbMq4t1c53K5f-SRBS7K3oEI2SEtg 1

ForeverHopeful1 Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 To me, when I am thinking about a partner, I am thinking about long term. Hair, is not a long term thing for anyone! Lol. I have been with my SO for almost 9 years and his hairline is slowly but surely sliding back on his head. He has never had a fancy dancy haircut. I actually like it when its well kept, but I like that he has some hair on top... It gives me something to grab onto! Hehehehe. Anywho.............. As for body hair, I also like that. I do not find men without body hair sexy or men who get rid of body hair sexy. I find body hair a manly trait. Am I weird? I dunno! I think as long as it is well kept and not "shaggy" and a woman can tell you actually think about what you look like before walking out of the house, you are in the clear. A smart woman would acknowledge and accept that in 20 years, you probably wont have hair anyway, and at the end of the day, its not about hair.
