jobaba Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 The problem is most of the time i fallen for friends who i didn't see as a romantic interest at start. But they where fine looking and good company so felings grew. I take your words. That's been me too. Go for them earlier. Way earlier. If you think there's any shot at attraction later on. You'll be more successful and much less bitter my the time you get older.
AD1980 Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 Actually, from what i've seen the guys who act most "cool and confident" are the ugly/short/fat/bald ones trying to impress girls. I see these guys on my college campus flirting with women, "gaming" them, wearing the coolest new clothes, act like they're invincible. The reaction from women? "That guy is so annoying!" Women hate ugly confident guys. Romantic confidence without something tangible (physically speaking) to be confident in is not going to get you anywhere. Personality is way overrated when attracting women, it only factors in way later. That is pretty accurate "confidence" is not a magic pill..if a women doesnt find you physically attractive at all then it doesnt matter..and being a confident ugly guy will only get you eye rolls from women..
runner Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 And anyone can get it i would agree with the 'can' part, theoretically. but in reality, it's more of a long process of introspection. it can be faked to a degree, but to truly have it and be who you are is another story. I have it. Only when I have low interest in the woman. LOL! So i'm not afraid of screwing anything up & can be myself. Then they usually want me. Go figure. I'm learning to trick myself into thinking of all the positives of being single in order to not care if I screw it up & it seems to be working. oh man, don't i know it. but it doesn't always hit me immediately; sometimes at around the 3rd or 4th date i like your strategy. mine is a bit similar in that i force myself to detach from any outcome, and just enjoy her presence in the moment for all it's worth. let the chips fall where they may. 1
