natewilliams Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 I know this is counterintuitive, but I finally realized that a big reason why I have trouble with women is because I am good looking. I'm serious. I think it's actually a problem. Overweight funny dudes somehow make women comfortable around them, but good-looking semi-funny dudes are "run-of-the mill" at best, and at worst have a negative association or just represent anxiety to women, which immediately is a turn off. For this reason, I am thinking that from now on, I will just give up "dating". In fact, I really do like to make female friends honestly. So why not just convey to women somehow that I mean to just be friends. And now that I think about it, the one or two highly attractive women I've been with, blossomed out of friendship first. Ha, I think this will solve all my problems! Thoughts?
ja123 Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Going out with the mindset of being friends, I think, takes the pressure off of both parties. So as an approach, I think it might be quite good. Plus, you get to know the person beofre getting sexual, which means you have more likelyhood of making better choices. Are you looking for longterm?
O'farrell Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 Another poster that believes he is too attractive to date less than perfect feminine specimens. No but in all honesty looking good can be intimidating to a lot of people from both genders but to intimidate everyone would mean you are a billionaire calven Klein model type guy who knows how to manipulate all social situations so that the flow of power is through him. Im willing to be you don't even look like a CK model.
Mrlonelyone Posted September 9, 2012 Posted September 9, 2012 That can work. Some people work on the basis of "chemistry". It has to be instant madly in love "chemistry". Some people don't. Your one of those people. So just relax and don't worry about "chemistry" types. They may have more relationships but they aren't as good.
