SandRat Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 how many people come here asking for relationship advice and get some of the best free advice and personal experiences shared with them and then....................................................................just keep on doing what they've been doing expecting, somehow, that something will change just because they just got a bunch of good advice? Really, no matter what you tell some people, they will continue doing all the wrong things it seems. What's the definition of insane???
Pyro Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 They don't want to put in the effort to change. Complaining doesn't require much effort. 1
Author SandRat Posted September 7, 2012 Author Posted September 7, 2012 That's why its best to write "self help" books and get rich. Make people pay for advice they will never use. People who do this are generally "dreamers". They don't live in reality and they are generally lazy. They want easy answers to complex problems. They refuse to try new things or take risks. But they'll make Dr. Phil rich. YOU have been paying attention!
the ill-made knight Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 I think some people are just stubborn as well. They say they want advice, but really they want someone to validate their opinion, choice, etc.

runner Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 there is also that element of incommensurability due to differences in emotional maturity between poster and audience, so it seems. i try not to get too upset about these days. or, i just resort to my usual, '**** it i'm not wasting any more time with this' attitude
