We were together 3 years and within a week had met someone else and claimed to be in love. I figured it was a rebound and he'd come to his senses and come back. So he contacted me yesterday and I thought it was going to be good news. He asked how I was doing and silly me broke down crying telling him I missed and loved him and wanted to try ur again. He tells me it can't be fixed but he wants me to be happy and move on. He says he loves this girl and she's a better match for him. They are moving in together (after 2 weeks of dating) and planning on getting married!!!! He says he's happy and she's what he needs and I should let us go. And then threw in the horrible line " if we are meant to be we will find each other someday". I'm completely crushed. I thought he'd come back and now I'm being told no. Any advice is appreciated...

Any advice is appreciated... i'm really sorry to hear this.. idk know if there was another girl involved with my ex but he threw that stupid line at me of "if its meant to be we will find our way" its all BULLSH*T!!!!!!!!!!!!! it sounds as if he may have been with this girl during your relationship. theres no way 3 years can end with someone being with someone else within weeks! this is horrible but just keep it at no contact and tell him to leave you the f*ck alone and to enjoy his new gf. you need to focus on you and start rebuilding your life. never be someone's second choice, ever!

This is definitely a rebound and going to fail. Count on that. The problem is when he comes back, which he will, you have to be ready and push him away. Sounds like an immature douche. 2
