he dumped me during sex :/

I had been seeing the guy for about seven months, it wasn't serious or even a real "relationship" (I knew that I might be moving across the country in Sept so I wasn't pushing for one) but we went on dates, I'd met friends, we got together every week or so and hung out and it was nice enough.

 

Over the summer I felt like I was initiating seeing him more and it felt like things were fizzling out and honestly it had become pretty clear that we weren't really compatible on a 'deeper' level-- beliefs, way of looking at the world, future plans. A few weeks ago, I got a residential job a half an hour away and was trying to decide if I wanted to keep seeing him. I still liked hanging out with him and liked him but wasn't sure about the dating part anymore.

 

Anyway, as the title suggests, he beat me to it. Which would have been okay, except for the timing. We hadn't actually had sex sex yet (on that particular night, we'd been having sex since pretty early on) but everyone's clothes were off and had been for a while (and he'd initiated it). He says, out of nowhere 'Do you think we'll see each other much after you move?' I was like 'uh...' and he says 'I don't think we will. I just don't think it would work [if you'll be living half an hour away].' pause. 'But we can still have sex, one last time.'

 

Long story short, I was for some crazy reason not interested in sex, he realized how pissed off and hurt I was and then acted like he felt bad and admitted that he had "terrible timing" and made me promise that I didn't hate him and I left.

 

A few days later I texted him something like 'I don't think I overreacted but I don't want to never speak to you again... stay in touch?' and the next morning he texted me 'of course we'll stay in touch!' and I haven't heard from him since.

 

I guess all of this makes me really sad because usually I have these terrible endings to things where I never speak to the guy again and I didn't think this would be like that... It wasn't intense enough and from what I knew of him it seemed really out of character that he'd pull a dick move like that... he just all in all seemed like a pretty decent human being.

 

I'm still a little pissed off at him but mostly just kind of disappointed in him and kind of confused. Anything I can do for this besides wait it out until I am happy to have a competitive 'worst way you've been dumped' story?

dont be disappointed in him.. im sure its inappropriate to intiate sex with someone your gonna dump anyway.. u were doing the same thing .. humans are sensing being.. dont forget.
