icarthew Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 please i need to know if this seems normal in a relationship? I have been with this woman for 1 year she is 8 years older than me I am 32 she is 40. Typical first 10 months we were all over each other. the last 2 months she has been so distantin our relationship. She tells me that she has never loved anyone more than me in all her past relationships. I have found lately she doesent want sex(it happens one a month if i am lucky), i find she snaps at me if i try to intiate sex so i dont bother, she finds it hard to even hug me, she wont kiss me and even if she does she looks reluctant, she would rather not go out and just lie on the couch, whenever i ask her some thing she says i dont care, shes moody, she irritable, she doesent mix with her friends anymore. The one thing she has said lately that she finds it hard to show her affection towards me which i know its not true because she used to. Then she only shows any affection to me when she was drunk. I badly need some guidence as i love this woman so much. sorry to bash your ears
locogurl Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Sometimes women of her age to loose interest in sex and it sounds like she might be experiancing perimenopause. Maybe she should go see her doctor for blood tests and a physical and hopefully relief.
