hurt1986 Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 So I have been talking to this guy for a few months now and it is great but my only issue is it is a long distance relationship. I am really liking him but I have noticed that when I am feeling lonely I start to think about all the memories of my ex. Us going out having fun, cuddling watching a movie, us joking around laughing. Also all the things we use to do he now does with his new girl. I hate it because I start to feel down. It doesn't come around to much but it does at least once a month for a few days. I have only spent a weekend with my new bf but it was brief. We saw each other, had lunch, talked, exchanged a hug and kiss then went on our way. He had a curfew. I feel like I need to make memories with him to completely forget about my ex. Is that wrong?
Gab09 Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 I'm sorry you're going through that ugly feeling, but I would guess it's part of life. I don't think it's wrong, you obviously want happiness back and create new memories with the person you like/love. I do however think you may need to meet more people, you don't necessarily need to create memories with a love interest, it could be with good friends or family?
