Just an observation.

So I am not a "super poster" on facebook. I post articles, videos, and occasional state of mind posts.

So today I was complaining about fantasy football (we are doing a work league, my first time). Boom so many comments and offers for help from high school acquaintances, real life friends etc. Advice is rolling in.

Not long ago I was griping about some car issues. Boom the same thing! Mostly among people who I hardly talk to, all came to the "rescue" with advice and tips.

Computer problems? The same thing and I am in at least the top 60 percentile of resolving my own issues....

This happens in real life as well, but it seems so much more readily apparent online, since you end up reaching more people. It is a bit more rare for a guy to come running out to help you with your grocery bags in daily life.....

Heaven forbid I am talking to my male friends/colleagues/whatever about car or computer trouble. I will have a million different unsolicited solutions!

I was chatting up a guy I just met about drinking habits, and how I have a low tolerance. Sure enough he was offering me all kinds of solutions and experiments to do to figure out how I can increase my tolerance. 10 minutes after meeting.....

So why is it that so many men are ready to come "running to the rescue" to save the damsel in distress!

Men, do you like to "Rescue?"

Women, how do you feel about this?

Do you notice this as well?

It's a guy thing to be honest, every time a girl asks me about something, I will usually try and give a million and one solutions even unsolicited. I am the same with children, their inquisitive minds are always questioning things and I find myself constantly answering their questions. I am also the same with men, they ask me things to do with technical stuff and occasionally girl problems, and I always have a bunch of angles for them to view the bigger picture from.

When I was younger, I was a sucker for a damsel in distress, always willing to help and always wanted to have sex with them, and did quite a few times. I think it must be some biological mating signal to a male.

Most guys are solution oriented/problem solvers. So it makes sense that when you have a problem, they are going to try and solve it. They are this way with each other too, usually.
