SamH311 Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years now and I can honestly say that I am in love. The only thing is I get SO JEALOUS, even if he just talks to a girl. I really try to contain myself, and he really does get tired of it. I dont want my jealousy to push him away, he is the only one that I want. How can I just stop being so jealous? It's something I want to fix.
prettylittlethings Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 Is your jealousy warranted at all?
navyblueskies Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 It's not something easy to let go, since most of it has to do with yourself anyway. You just have to realize that your jealousy comes from your own head. You can trust you boyfriend, as long as he's not flirting back. I can relate, my fiance wants to be friends with everyone. She's so nice to guys, she comes off as flirting, and guys flirt back. I get silent and jealous whenever she tells me this. You can also minimize you exposure to it to. Just kindly ask him not to tell you when girls do talk to him, for your own benefactor. Or, you can overexpose it and get comfortable with. It all happens with repetition and time. Also, by talking to guys, it makes you feel like you're on an equal plane with him, and it doesn't seem like that big of a deal anymore.
