I measured myself and used this site International Dress and Bra Size Calculators and Converters 94: Bust , 78:Below* , 80: Above And it says i'm a 36DD US and 80E Eu. Also in Victoria secret's site : Bust Measurement - Band Size* = Cup Size. 37-33=4 Which means Cup D. But My friend brought me some bras from europe and they're 85 B. Although they're big. They don't cover completely (its supposed to be like that) . But other than that they fit. Does this mean I'm a B? But B is so small... I don't get it... * as the sites have explained band size and below are different.

Your best bet is to use the measurements as a guide only and actually try on the bra. Then go up/down a cup/size as required. Author without Posted September 4, 2012 Author Posted September 4, 2012 Thanks. My usual bras are C. I guess it differs in every brand. Also I still don't get it why in those sites I'm a DD. I don't get the obsession with cup size. Why don't they care about band size? Like 32 . I think its more important than cup size. Or even maybe Bust size is better. Cups really don't show much. But everyone's obsessed with them.

How do you mean? the only way I can feel comfortable is by wearing the right cup size. It's more important than band size as that can be adjusted on bras usually while cup can't be January is right though, try a few bras. I have tried on many different styles before I settled on the ones that work for me.

When deciding on U.S. sizing bras, you use the below measurement to get band width. Not a chance you can wear an 85 cm band width with a 78 cm below measurement. 78 cms is 30.7". 85 cms is 33.5". A bra would be hanging off you if the band was almost 3" too large. I'd check your measurements again but this time, go to a lingerie shop and have a professional measure it for you. Something's very wrong with those measurements, no matter how much difference between manufacturing sizings.

If you wanna use that formula its 37-33=4 It should be inches and it should be the band measurement not below as said in other sites.

While you're at it, try 52AAA, it will probably fit too. I know all about finding my size on net, and I sure as hell don't need a man to tell me about bras. I just didn't know why brands differ so much. Don't answer when you don't know even what a band size is.

LittleTiger Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 OP, go to a professional bra-fitter when you need or want to buy a new bra. Different manufacturers have different sizes - there is nothing standard about bras - and it is impossible to find out what cup size you are by reading charts and instructions on the internet! I can be a 32E/F/FF/G or a 34DD/E/F/FF depending on how much weight I am carrying, what time of the month it is and what manufacturer makes the bra I want to buy. Different bras are different shapes too, so you need to find one that fits your particular shape. It doesn't really matter what 'size' you are - just find a bra that is comfortable and fits you well. That means: a) Snug around the back without being too tight - it should run level all the way around your body and not ride up towards your shoulder blades. b) The cup comfortably encases your whole breast, without bulging over the top or at the sides - and it should sit smoothly against your skin without gaping or wrinkles. So forget the charts - go and try on some bras with the help of someone who actually knows what they are doing. 2

Adding inches is the old fashioned way to measure due to the constraints of bra construction way back when. Take a look at how D recommended it in the thread carhill linked.
