Mixed signals would drive anyone insane. I've just started back talking to his guy Ive known all year. He wanted to come over and see me and I said I wasnt sure if that was a good idea. 5 minutes later (through a text) I told him he could come if he wanted too. You know what he said to me, "I'll let you know." WTH?

Instantly I think its because another woman is in the equation. He has been gone for 5 days and said he wanted to see if his mom and aunt would be home when he got there. Mind you he lives at home. I just told him we could postpone things because I would find something else to do. Im not going to wait until his plans fall through and he comes running to me.

Since we are not in a relationship I asked how he would feel if I wanted to date other men, he wouldnt want to be apart of that. The next night it was ok if I wanted to date other men.

I think he does care about me. But not enough to give me normalcy. It really hurt my feelings knowing that he doesn't give two craps about me and I've never done anything intentionally to hurt him. I've told him I love him so that right there should let him know that what I feel is strong. I'm just tired of being back and forth.

He says he misses me and cares about me but how when you constantly show the opposite.

Sorry Zanesfan, guys can be dicks sometimes.

They're not all dicks, but they can be.

Sometimes intentionally, sometimes they don't even know they're doing it.

We've all been on the receiving end of mixed messages before so we know it can be extremely frustrating.

You always end up asking yourself, "What hell does he (or she) want?"

The reason why people play games is because we don't want to put all our cards on the table.

We feel that it might ruin our chances of getting what we want.

Ironically, that's THE best way to get what you want.

It's the best way to stop all this game playing from him.

So what do you do?

Let him know what you want.

Since you've already told him you love him, he knows how you feel.

Do you want to a have a committed relationship right now?

If you do, let him know.

If he's on board, then he can come along.

If not, you gotta move on.

It might not be easy.

But you can do what's easy, or you can do what's best for you.

This happened to me. I fell for a girl I really didn't know at all and because of this, I allowed her to mess with my head. She played games and it annoyed the hell out of me. I share this hoping it will help you and others out there who might be dealing with a similar situation to yours.

The more she denied me, it piqued my curiosity and increased my interest in her. The whole time though, she was out dating other guys, having a great time. I was just a guy she enjoyed playing with because I put all my cards on the table.

Your guy is playing a game. He's doing this because 1) he is testing you. 2) He is exploring other options while he messes with your head.

If all else fails, you can guarantee he will be texting, calling you with all the affection in the world. He'll make you feel you're his one and only. That until another girl he's interested in comes along.

My best advice is for you to cut all ties with him. It will be hard but it's a must with this guy. Mess with him before you shut the door on him. Tell him: "This isn't going to work anymore. I'd like to date other men. Sorry. Just not feeling it with you. Bye."

Then never communicate with him again. No matter what he texts you. Don't respond. If he calls, don't answer. Get the last word in and leave this guy high and dry.

Just a suggestion.
