Just wandering here....

my ex had a wierd sleeping thing going on...almost robotic crap

She'd need ear plugs, and a sock over her eyes...

Wouldn't do cuddling at night after we'd been in bed for say 10 minutes..

i personally like holding a woman in bed, and maybe during the night, always seemed more intamate......but she wouldn't do it, kept her awake etc, yea i respected that, but sometimes at the end of the day, when your both alone together....and just together, i always felt that's the time when you can get close...really close, regardless of sex etc....

she said she'd always been that way....but i found it cold to be honest, when all my other ex's had been a lot more close.

wierd....ladies your thoughts?

I don't think its weird. Then again I am kinda like your ex. I have ear plugs, a face mask, hate hate hate cuddling once I am asleep. I don't mind it before sleep but once I am sleeping I get way to hot. I prefer sleeping apart from my SO though. I sleep much better that way.

From experience, sleep compatibility is very important in an LTR.

In your situation, OP, I'm surprised that she wasn't willing to compromise with some pillowtalk before bed.

Every incompatibility contributes to self-knowledge. You know what you need: a woman who doesn't mind being held during the night and who is less strict about her sleep routine.

A sock over her eyes? Haha. That's funny. I know my cousin has to sleep with an eye mask for sleeping and black out shades. I have to wear ear plugs if there's snoring. If no snoring, I like to sleep with a fan or air conditioner on for the sound.

I like to cuddle when I go to sleep but once I'm asleep, I tend to either be a twisty turner or curled up in a ball to the side of the bed. :bunny:

I think if she would cuddle for 10 minutes, then scoot over into her own space to sleep, that's cool.

So far, my new fella and I cuddle all night long - and I do love it. But he tends to get restless after a few hours of sleep, then start tossing and turning, so I'm not sure this is going to work for me long term. I'm very grumpy when I'm sleep deprived!
