And he keeps emotions in, I'm worried he'll shut me out, if he shuts me out I feel like I won't be able to help, other than letting him know I'm here for him, which he knows. Frustrating. At least I'll be there in 2 week's time. Want to be there with him now though and cuddle him. Hate this sh*t at times.

Thankfully you are aware of how he handles his emotions so if he goes a bit quiet, you'll know not to personalize it. As someone who does the same, others reaching out still is helpful and appreciated; it's just difficult to respond as we normally would but it registers. Good thoughts for both you, him, and his mother are being sent at this very moment, friend. LD is a challenge but sometimes that space can be helpful as he gets his emotions sorted out and managed. Less two weeks to go now. All will be well! Hugs. 1
